  1. How’s it going everyone.

I’m just checking to see if anyone here on the site works at a Ford Dealership and possibly works in the parts department?

I have a OBS 1997 Ford F-250 HD XLT 7.3 Powerstroke Diesel with 146,XXX and I’m looking for a OEM part. This morning on my way home from work it started to run Kinda weird and So I Stopped and checked it out and couldn’t find anything wrong. I got on the freeway and it was running just fine. Then I pull into my neighborhood and it starts running rough again and I get about a hundred yards or so from my house and then it shuts down and luckily I was able to coast to my house. Then I tried to start it and it will not start it just kept cranking. So then I get looking around and find out what the problem is. The vibration dampener (The Harmonic Balancer) came apart. It looks like the rubber inside dampener came apart due to age. So I’m not trying to be cheap or anything but I’m not paying $400+ for a aftermarket High Performance one and definitely not buying a China made one either. So if someone here works at a Ford dealership and works in the parts department let me know. I’m willing to buy one and pay for shipping even if it’s outside of Ca. PM me with any information.

    Thanks for looking.

  2.   Yes, I legitimately own the Banshee in the crate. I purchased it in 2015 from Bright PowerSports in Lincoln Park, Mi. I’m originally from Lima, OH where I was born and raised until the fall of 1999 when I enlisted into the Marines. I was sent and then stationed in Camp Lejeune from 1999-2009 then they transferred me to Camp Pendleton from 2009- 2019. I just recently retired after 20 years and finished my career as a drill instructor. While living here in California I noticed that most of my neighbors have atv’s , SxS’s or Trikes and so I decided to start searching for another banshee. I owned a 1997 banshee that I had to sell before I enlisted into the Marines. I was really shocked when I came across this dealership selling this banshee that was still I the crate. Then I noticed that it was not to far from my parents house back home. So I contacted them about it and explained my situation and that while I was on holiday leave I would drive up and purchase it on Black Friday. So I’ve been the owner sense then. Anymore doubters I be more than willing to answer anymore questions.

  3. Hey Guys,

I’m new to the site and I have spent a couple of days looking around and I have found a lot of helpful information but didn’t find what I was looking for. The title of this post explains my question.

I have a 2006 50th anniversary Yamaha Banshee. I bought it brand new in the create from the dealership and went straight into storage. Yes, it’s still in the create as of right now. Yes, I’ve inspected it throughout the years by just peeking in on it. Other then that It’s been moved from coast to coast. (Military- Marines Ret.)

My biggest question is what steps should I be taken if or when I bring it out of hibernation?  My main concern is seals and gaskets leaking from sitting so long. I also tried to post photos and it keeps saying my images are to big. I can’t figure it out.

Please keep the site going and I’m glad I came across it.

    Any information would be helpful.

    Thanks.
