  1. I’ve gone through a few trinity motors with that same set up. At 160 psi with porting, the actual compression ratio will be a bit on the high side for sure. So you will definitely need to give it race fuel to keep the plugs from backing out. A 9 range plug may also help. Verify your stroke for sure stock is 54mm, 4mil Stroker is 58mm. Don’t be close, be sure
Also, if you’re doing a 2/1 carb on a motor that size, make sure to have an upgraded larger single petcock, gutted check ball on gas cap, and a billit bowl on the carb.
As far as squish test, you tube some of the South Texas Banshee stuff. He has video how to’s. You can also Google a guy that used to run a blog for banshees and blasters called MacDizzy. He used to put a lot of detail out on how to do all of that. Base gaskets play a role in all of this.

Thank you for the info ! What do you mean by 9 range plug ? Do you have a part number you would recommend ? Also what fuel ratio / mix would you suggest trying ? I will look up the test and get that done soon !

  2. Yup, I wanna know what the squish is and exactly what octane fuel you were using when it was backing plugs out. My guess is going to be poorly designed domes. I am assuming these are trinity domes, and that does not give me the warm fuzzies.

91 octane and yes it’s a trinity cool head with trinity domes. how do I perform the squish test with the engine on the bike ?

  3. Okay I took measurements and compression. I believe it is stock stroke. I measured a few times and all measurements were not exact but close to 54.00 mm . The compression photos are attached. I know this is low but what could be the issue? The bike has maybe 2 hours of run time on the fresh cylinders/pistons/rings. dee1184cc83af4b3b4151aba8486ac91.jpg

  4. It has a trinity IV head on it (17 mm domes ). It was bored to 69.45 when I took it apart and is now at 70mm. The porting was like this when I got it and has hot rods (CKJ158). I am not sure if it’s a stock crank or not. All I did was a top end and put it back together so any help/suggestions on what I have or if I need to change something or run a race fuel would be greatly appreciated . 5. Hey guys I have a 1996 banshee. According to the info I provided on here it was a 421 trinity . I pulled and had to have the cylinders done. It now is bored to 70mm and has 17cc domes that we’re originally in it . What type of fuel should I run with this setup and can I order it online some place ?

  6. I am in the process of getting my banshee motor back together. This was a barn find so what’s been done was unknown before i bought it. I purchased a clutch pack for FAST to put in it. When I pulled the old clutch pack out found a few things wrong. It has a Hinson Racing basket in it. But I found the thrust washer between the clutch boss and basket missing, I found the O-ring behind the clutch basket missing and the cushion ring/rings missing. I also found that the main bolt holding the basket on was loose. The parts missing are #13,#15, #17 on the diagram. Did someone leave this out for a reason? Should I put everything back per the diagram in the repair manual? Any help would be greatly appreciated! I have attached photos for reference. c7ae52619c7a5e997a7fff6acea07d47.jpga20fd9e0dfa49ae8b6dba184c153fe3d.jpg39c83dae546fa64127bcceb9f70719cc.jpgf87734b5a67642a855ba8d095bd97873.jpg77d91a5ff2fd6cf57652166fd3f23d8b.jpg

  7. All I bought a banshee that was non running. Had a bad reed. Decided to freshen everything up so I pulled the head/jugs . I found the pistons in it say 9355E on the top then 8963 with 69.45 MM under it in the middle. Also found the rod has a CK158 Hot Rods stamped on it and domes say 71m, 17cc, 2 deg. Does anyone know what kind of setup I have here? Has stage IV trinitycool head, 2 to 1 intake and single Mikuni38-85 on it. What do I have here? Also where can I get new rings/pistons for this ? New gaskets/seals for cool head? I have attached some photos. Thanks in advance for the help! 5b36644467741313662e44ddfc166e0b.jpg

  9. Yes, replace the water pump seal, and bearing. As well as what hopped up said above about coolant tube clip and o ring.

You can pull the clutch plates and mic them.

Yes someone drilled hole in cover to adjust the clutch pack. With the billet basket most likely a upgraded adjuster with pancake bearing.

Suggestions on a billet water pump kit? Thanks for all the help!

  10. Honda throttle is good. Easy on ur thumb.
Looks like a billet clutch basket.

The plastic Bushing on Kickstarter usually rides against the cover. What does the cover look like?

F.a.s.t. Can hook u up with the rebuild seals ect...
    Same with clutch or driveline.

How can I tell if the clutch is good still? After getting it running after it sat for a while I filled with new gear oil. Found the oil looked gray/milky when I drained it. I’ve heard it could be clutch material or water pump. Here are photos of the outer case and oil. Is there a reason for a hole in the case?
