idk crap about paring and matching that stuff up but id assume that you wont need a complex set up with that.  Guessing its for play drags with your stock setup and shearer pipes.   14/43 with a 7 or 8 paddle is the first thing that popped in my head.  im sure more seasoned guys will give u better info.  I ran 9 paddle padla brats, stock gearing 21 inch tire, on a 80 hp motor and stock swing arm and it hooked so hard I couldn't launch without flipping it.  JT sprockets are nice tho

Yea exactly, I want to be able to launch my bike and actually be able to put down the little power I have. I have been running my bike with typical mx tires and launching in first gear and i know my bike is spinning and not really getting much traction until i get into about 3rd gear with my current tire setup. The terrain we are racing in is a mix of sand with maybe some dirt but it feels soft and currently i feel I am not even able to be competitive at all.

  2. I am looking to order a set of paddle for my bike, I am not sure what what size or brand paddle i should buy. I have a stock swing arm stock gearing setup on my bike and i would like to get the best size that is not to small but is not to big. I am also interested in pro wedge tires but I only can find the 4 snow tires and cant seem to find the pro wedge tires.

Definitely makes a difference. What were you previously mixing at? And what oil are you wanting to run at 40:1?

Rich/lean terminology applies a couple different ways.

Air/Fuel Ratio: It's the ratio of air to fuel that creates a proper burn with out creating so much heat that it melts pistons, but also doesn't have to much fuel so that it create a sloppy cool burn. Think of when you start up a torch and play with the mix valve. That burn you get before you squeeze the lever is what we want in our cylinders. That burn you get when you squeeze the trigger is basically what you get when an air leak occurs.

Fuel/Oil Ratio: This applies to your question. If a given motor runs perfect with the current jets in the carbs, changing the amount of oil in the fuel can have an effect on jetting. So say the motor is running perfect. Now take a motor that's been running at 32:1 fuel. Now you add fuel mixed at 40:1. You are actually giving the motor more fuel through the carb jets. Not to big of a deal. Now say you have a motor running perfect at 40:1. Take that motor and feed it 32:1 mix. You would actually be flowing less gas through the jets. Typically the average motor is jetted with a decent margin of error so you may not notice the difference. Do not let people confuse you by calling it oil/fuel ratio when you read a number XX:Y , fuel is the first number in the ratio.

I was mixing at 32:1 and I am using Klotz super techniplate. The way you just explained it actually gave me a way better understanding of the air fuel mixture.

  4. Ok today I drained out the 32:1 gas and got it filled up with 40:1 then i continued on with syncing the carbs under tension and have them both dead nuts equal. I put the boots back on and the airbox and got it all together and rode it in my small yard and she rips hard even tho i can only full throttle it for a second it was clean and crisp with no bog. I live in one of the most densely populated cities in florida so we dont have much area to ride locally without the cops showing up but I do plan to head to an industrial area tonight where I will be able to open it up and stretch it out so i can start doing the plug chops and jet swapping.

If you have the stock 6x1.00 bolts in the stator you can loosen those with a 10mm wrench and adjust the timing without pulling the flywheel. Timing is all going to depend on compression and fuel you are running. If running pump gas I would keep it around 3-4

im gonna go pull off the stator cover and move it to back to plus 4 i remember it had the stock bolts on it. The line i go off of is the case split line right?

  6. Ok so got the jets in the mail early today, so the setup i put in them is a 27.5 pilot and 320 main. I got the carbs on the bike today and set the idle with the sync tool and i have both carbs at idle on 5 on the sync tool. I have not rode it yet as i still need to sync the slides and put the air box and stuff back on. I will say she free revs super crisp and both pipes are smoking evenly and both are getting equally hot. Tomorrow i will sync the slides and put the rest of the stuff back on and take her out and test ride it and start changing the main jet.

On a side not I also got both my new trail tech lights working so that is nice, I feel like im making some really good progress on the bike.

Unless there is a monster exhaust port, something is fucky.

Tricked the only thing i can think is, The kit i ordered was supposed to come with 22 cc domes, I for sure read on them 19cc but maybe it was engraved wrong. I honestly dont know about how my motor is ported as i have not see any pictures or have any to post. I will be doing a leak down test tho very soon maybe i can take some pictures when i have the pipes off if that will tell you anything. Another thing is maybe the guy who built my motor did not put in the 19cc domes as i told him i wanted to run pump gas he may have switched them to a different set then what i had given him.

I mean 135 psi isnt bad its just odd bc 19cc should put u well over that. What did the adapter of the compression tester look kike? Same thread length as ur spark plugs?

The compression tester is one i got from autozone it is a little bit shorter then a spark plug

Stupid question but did you hold the throttle open during the test?

I have the carbs off so i did not have to hold the throttle open

What elevation? Altitude can have an effect on compression.

Im at sea level, im in florida on the gulf coast.

Really? U sure those r 19cc domes. What r the port timings do u know

The only thing i can think is maybe the builder i used did not put those 19cc domes in it, The other thing is maybe BP racing had them engraved incorrectly. The domes where supposed to be 22cc domes but it for sure was engraved with 19cc on it. I dont know about the port timings so i can give any info on that.
