  1. Ran the br8es plugs. 27.5 pilot and 260 mains. Everything looks good and runs well. Started at 280. And it was way rich. Wouldn't run for shit unless I took airbox lid off... Didn't have 270's so I threw in the 260's and a fresh set of plugs. Made a rip down the street came back and the porcelain is a nice Carmel brown. Should be good I'm gonna snag some 270's for when the weather drops into the 50's

  2. Cool, nice score.  I wonder if the 06 yellow are any different from the old 97 yellow?  I've never seen the 06 in person but thought they looked the same from pictures.  The part numbers are only 1 digit different.  I've seen Yamaha do that for a newer run of the same part.  You got the right idea though, banshee owners to buy OEM plastic while it's still out there.  Pretty soon, we'll be like all the 250r owners bitching about guys selling OEM fenders for 1000s because they've been discontinued.

yeah i thought this was really cheap

  3. After doing a little checking, it looks like the 05 and 06 SE black share a unique part number.  All the other year model black fenders are YB(Yamaha Black) part numbers.  I have the 97 yellow and the 03 yellow fronts and they are way different.  The 03 is a lot brighter yellow.  Hope this helps.

just bought two full sets.. one old solid black one not se style I  got the last rear fender in the country

and one set of 2006 se yellow only charged me 50$ shipping!  865$ to my door for two sets... thought that was a killer deal..

  4. Partszilla has good deals. I'm thinking about a black and a yellow set. Are the colors different by year ? My se plastics in black seem to have a sparkle in them kinda... Are any years a straight black. And is the 2003 and 2006 yellow way different? Just trying to get educated before I buy... Figure two sets will save me a lot on shipping. Just get em now and put em in the attic one day ppl will want this shit and pay a premium if I don't use them.

  5. So I'm new to the banshee game got a mint 05 last month and haven't got to use it yet because I was setting it up for what I'd like it to be. I did elka stage 3 all new brake fluid stainless lines dura blu +2 axle billet hubs, new chain and sprockets and rollers, alba front arms +2

  6. Looking for a MINT stock frame preferably with a title.

I have my own coating line at work looking to make this budget bike I just got trick over the winter ! Must be straight and not contain broken bolts and stripped threads unless I can fix them easily. I really want a title with it. I will pay fair value if it's nice I don't expect it to be free. If it's newer clean straight and title I'll give good $

  7. Wow.

Small world. That's my old motor. I sold that when I went to the ten mil cub. Brandon did a great job porting it. If I remember it pulled around 85hp on the dyno.

Not to bad for a stock cylinder 4 mil.

THANK YOU! This dude literally knew nothing about it. He got it from a friend for cheap cuz he moved across country he said he rode it twice and it was too fast and needed $ for his baby's room setup. I craigslist hustled him hard. Messaged you for proper care on this bad ass motor!!

  8. Well I bought it for a stupid price haha guy was hard up I almost felt bad.... It also has a pingel petcock, bars stainless brake lines, billet gas cap, and it straight rips. Starts first kick idles amazing. Trans is a little finicky but my fathers friend was a big time two stroke kart motor builder so we can sort it out. It shifts but it's a little rough at super high rpm. I want to start by changing the fluid what's the hot ticket for a banshee trans. Clutchdoesn't slip but the adjustment is far out so I'm also looking into buying a new one possibly if necessary once I take the cover off and inspect it. This thing makes bottom end power like I've never felt. It's amazing. It pulls super hard up top also. The frame may have a small tweak when looked at from the back but I haven't taken the plastic off yet... For 2200 I think I'm well ahead of the game. The tires on the back are literally new also. They are bazookas I also want to find out if it's a 4mil stroker... May have to measure that and report my findings. I'd say the motor is worth 1,000 easily I'm ny eyes I mean the power and is like amazingggggg it's not all top end but it still has a ton on top...

Any imput on fuel mix ratios and good trans oil appreciated.

    Thanks!

  9. 93 is pump gas build. Many run that because race gas cost a shit ton.

Going off this is a stock crank.

I say there is around $1K in the top end for welding crank($100), porting($300), cool head($250), domes, carbs ($250) and manifold ($125).

    A-arms $300ish.

    Swingarm $400ish.

Maybe another $500ish-$1000 into other small parts.

So looking are $2500 just in new parts then price of a stock banshee.

so at 3,000 i should be able to get my $ out of it...  if its a dune/drag port its going to prolly suck trail riding though no  never ridden anything but a stock machine with pipes  so im un sure
