Looking for a set of front wheels with decent dirt tires that I can pick up in Illinois.

yea on weekends but i also live about 2 hours from any were leagal like the cliffs or foxvalley offroad and i drive a pick up with a 350 small block that get's about 10 miles to the gallom,, so yea most the time cant afford it. i ride were i can, shit sometimes i siphon gas out of other toys just to go out for an hour lol.You have money for fuel and oil everyday, can't afford to go to a legal place on weekends?

I oneatly dont have the cash to go to lagit places to ride all the time, and i like to ride everyday or every other day if i can.even if that means riding 'illeagly'. I even push my toys most of the time till i get to a trail. Im in no way trying to justify running from the cops but onestly scared of looseing my quad that i cant get back if it gets towed. So if im coming off the trail and theres cops sitting there waiting for me yes i turn around and wait it out. But i do agree that people who ride around on the a street lookin for trouble are dicks cuz thats wat makes the cops so hard on it in the first place, but i mean come on if ur riding trails and not tearing up peoples you know u shouldent be on, or tearing up and down main roads. then the cops should leav u alone they got more important shit they should tend to.

Well inless what im riding has a title then ill stop. If the cops cool yull just get a few tikets but i have had my stuff towed befor and had to pay around 500$ to get it out. And im still going to court to this day for it.

i never knew that, it sucks cuz around here tgere realy hard on us and if u stop theyll tow ur shit and wright u a page of tikets.Running is a felony here. Kind of didn't think much about that in my younger years when it was a constant thing to run.
I use to stop untill i found out theyll tow my shit and stick u with wat ever they can.

Here in ill if u get poped by 5.0 and they tow your shit most of the time they ask for title or will not release the quad to u. That why i allways try and have a title even know i tend to out run them anyways lol. Would be a shame to foul a plug or break a xhain ect.wile runnibg though and get it towed then it gone.

I couldn't give you an exact number but if I had to ballpark it I'd say anywhere from 8-9k not including the price of the shee itself. The LTR I bought new so that was 9k, but I definitely hadn't done as much things as I did to the banshee so far. The LTR is definitely an easier bike to go faster on but down on power compared to the banshee which makes up for it being lighter than the banshee. I'm not competing seriously anymore so going as fast as possible on the track isn't a priority to me anymore..I just wanted to show the ppl I used to ride with and still do when we go out and practice that it's capable in the right hands. Also the ride is a lot more enjoyable hearing the banshee scream rather than the 4-stroke. The one thing that I miss the most is how much better the LTR would soak up coming up somewhat short on jumps..the shee really lets you know you effed up when all that weight is coming down haha. If I get into it seriously again maybe I'll build another 450 for comparison. But as for now I'm completely happy and it does everything I want.
Thats awsome man im glade ur diggin it, i got a 08 yfz450 and i like it alot for the mx side of things besides the pipe burning my leg off but i still mis my banshee for all around riding plus the aftermarket worlds huge and addictive.

Just curious, how much money u got into the banshee compared to your old ltr? How do u like the transition?

Removeing the air box aint that bad at all but i took my carbs off on my stocker a hand full of times with out touching the airbox.

I payed 1350$ for a all stock 99 with title. It was super clean besides chain wack but it was a clean break. Everything ealse was mint.

This was a bad ass build thread sheedawg28. Got alot of time invested into that banshee, gotta say one of the best ones ive ever seen. Had to read thru some fat kid on a aint hil kiddy bs but that seems to happend from time to time on good threads. Keep the pics coming man and keep ripin that shee on the mx track for all the haters.

When ajusting ur carb slides u want that dot showing up in boath carb windows at the same time.

Ok so the slide was 180 degrees off... yup I'm dumb Hahaha.
Shee runs now... but it just starts to high idle... is this because I cut the tors wires?
Dose it slowly creep up to a high idle or right off the bat it dose ?

Ok I'll try pulling it again. When the slide is out of the carb, the cable feels normal.
Then its deff geting hung up on some thing u shouldent realy have to for the carb cap on to screw it on.

Theres a ajuster in the middle of your preasure plate. That solved my problem and it wasthe same thing that happening to u. Also make sure your clutch basket and the gear the gear thats on the back of it dont have play, but i wouldent think that would make it jump into gear with the clutch in. I bet it just needs to be ajusted at the ajuster on your preasure plate.

Pull it back out and make sure it lined up right. And make sure the rubber seal on to of ur carb caps isnt bent or off pull on the throttle cable. And if slide are in the right carbs u should be able to see the dot in the window on the right sides of ur carbs.

Yea most of the trail quads/bikes who aim to have a good trail machine usally use flywheel weight.

If ur riding trails or mx you would be baffled by what some suspension would do man. But good suspension gets pretty pricey

Do you have a manual? If u dont buy one if ur new to this stuff.
How do the plugs look? That can yell u if it lean,
And go back over all the simple stuff to like if u have the hose clamps tight on carb boots, no rips, sync carbs.
