Yea, ill try to save these, if not, ill be contacting you soon!Ok, any thoughts on the comments I made?
-
Yes theyre stockAre those stock reed cages that have been hacked to shit?
I have a very nice set of stock reed cages that I took off my bike.
$25 PayPal gift and I'll ship them to you tomorrow!!
Or if you're looking for an entire intake system upgrade, check this out!!
-
Could horrible porting affect flow enough to make my plug chop look like crap?
Thats what i found today
-
What does smh mean? XDDon't worry, had to ask my son what "smh" was
-
Thanks ill buy some tomorrow!I put dielectric grease on every single plug. I going the frame where the coil mounts and put some there. On the plugs. On my other ground I added as well.
-
Alright so went ahead and took the head of and everythings looks to be in order, i did notice when i unplugged my harnes that most if not all plugs had water in them so ill just went ahead and left them unplugged until tomorrow (forgot it rained like 2-3 days ago)
-
So today i started messing with it and even though i coudnt smell any coolant my bike now runs horrible it wont hit powerband whats so ever itll run smooth at lower revs and then backfires like crazy... ill just open the cylinder head just to see if there is anything funky.Possible. You can smell that in exhaust.
-
Lol wrong thread!!!!
-
Yes i do its only at lower revs that i get a bog300 main should look lighter, did you get a good throttle response from idle on up ?
-
Main is 290The pilot and air screw really don't affect the reading you get on a plug chop. What is your main at?
-
Ive read how to exactly do a plug chop, and thats exactly what i did and hold 6th for 2-3 did the run twise with the same plugsPlug chops are done WOT in every gear and hold 6th for a sec or two.
Simultaneously pull clutch and kill motor.
Safely stop and swap plugs.
This is a very safe and slightly rich motor here.

So this is the plug chop with 30 pilot jet what the HELL is going on!? Also i changed my air idle screw to 1.5 turns
-
Check your intake boots for cracks
-
Because it thins the oil on themwhy pull off your filters when you can just spray shit right on em
-
Why do people spray stuff into the carbs rather than laying a hand over the carb, it works way better
-
It is unless i pull the choke then on the 2nd kickIs it hard to start when cold?
If your pilot is lean it should be lazy off idle when you snap the throttle open.
32:1 is rich for today's oil.
I've been running YamaLube 2R for 20+ yrs at 40:1 and never a lubrication failure.
Plus 16oz of oil to 5 gals is exactly 40:1.
I ran my current mods at sea level at Pismo with 30 pilots, clip in 4th groove and 310 mains.
Bottom end was lazy as fuck.
Moved clips to middle groove and man what a huge difference.
My recommendation to you is the following.
Mix fuel 40:1. << this means 40 parts of fuel to 1 part oil. You're essentially richening your fuel to air ratio and making your jets bigger.
Sync carbs with FAST Sync tool at idle and 5000 rpm.
Set idle to 1500 rpms.
Turn your air screws to 1.5 turns out.
27.5 pilots
290 mains
To do a proper plug chop you need a fresh set of plugs and a 13/16 wrench.
Warm motor up fully with old plugs.
Switch to new plugs and put old plugs in pocket.
Run motor WFO to the top of each gear and when you get to 6th, hold it for a couple seconds, then simultaneously pull clutch lever and kill motor.
Stop safely out of the way.
Pull plugs and put old ones back in.
Go to your work bench and cut the entire threaded portion off your new plugs.
You want a 2mm thick brown combustion ring of smoke around the base of the white ceramic.
And when im crusing then snap the throttle it bogs a bit then rips and keeps ripping with no bogs...maybe it just hates it when i handle it like a pussy..who knows
-
32:1 lucas super synthetic (for now) klotz on the wayThere's no way you need 30 pilots for this set-up at 3700 ft.
You're 2 turns out on you air screws.
If you needed 30 pilots you'd be under 1 turn out.
What are you mixing your fuel with and what's your mixing ratio?
Also it was 2 turns out at the moment of the plug chop which was looked lean

Lol! Alright my bad. How do i delete a thread
-
Even if its april fools?Don't. If you every want help on here again, delete this thread.

I think i bent my valves since my cam sproket was worn out, i just forgot to change my timing chain, what do i do?
-
How do you know how shitty their cylindersUmmm, because of money ? Could charge 2X the price. China has no regard for life so no shits about some cheep jets. They could be genuine, without knowing the size they are supposed to be and a way to measure no way to tell. As shitty as their cylinders are I wouldn't trust them.
are?the ones that came with my banshee are holding pretty well
Best of craigslist..................
