    Any interest in selling the Full bore plastics.

    Make me an offer on the full bore plastics. They are in really great shape, but they do have a couple of scratches here and there.

    Well, I ran into a problem! The serial number has been completely grinder off the frame under the powdercoat. Therefore I can't get it titled or registered. I'm done with this one. I'm probably going to part it out, and just start over with another one. For what it would cost me to get a titled frame and rebuild the motor, it's just not worth it. It still has plenty of good parts on it, so if anybody needs anything, hit me up.

    Well I managed to get the engine out. Haven't taken it apart yet, got sidetracked. I've decided to completely strip the frame and have it powder coated. I have it almost all the way tore down except for the rear swing arm. I was looking for the serial number on the frame and can't find it. The frame was powder coated previously, and I'm not sure where the number usually is. Can someone let me know where the numbers are usually stamped. I have a title, but I'm not sure that does me any good without some legible serial numbers on the frame. Thanks. BTW, I'm going with Serval cylinders, hotrod crank, 19cc domes, and rebuilding/re-jetting my Keihin carbs. Having the frame powder coated a light burgundy, and ordering carbon fiber look plastics.     Lol! I would but I'm on a budget(wife) lol. I just spent $5500 less than a month ago to buy these two banshees, then on our first trip out the yellow one blows itself up! So now I have to explain to my wife why I need to spend $1000-$3000 on a new motor! the more money I can save on the rebuild the less I have to sleep on the couch!!! Lol

    That's good to know, I was wondering why everyone was hating on the Athena kits. I think I'll cash in my pennies, and get a serval. If I get a stock size serval cylinders, what size domes should I order for the domes? The old ones aren't marked, and I don't know what cc stock is.

    Ok. I'm not really set on the Athena, it just seems to be a good price for everything you get. I will look into the serval I still have a good cool-head, what size domes should I order if I go stock or slightly over(.50)?

    I finally got the tools I ordered. I'm going to take the bottom end part this weekend. Provided that I have a standard crank, and it is ok, what do you guys recommend for a rebuild as far as part brands. I'm not looking to race this thing, I more interested in good performance and reliability. I talked to a builder here who works for Steve Abbott, and he said the Athena kits are fine for what I'm looking for, so now I'm confused. As far as I have been told, if my crank is standard, I can use the Athena big bore kit, and may have to re-jet the carbs, but other than that, not much else should have to be done. Here is the kit I'm thinking of buying...

    So...another question is...when I took off the clutch cover, a piece of it is broken off and missing, there were no pieces of case in there, so it must have happened prior to this and the oil and metal pieces were removed. Does that piece that's broken off need to be there, or will it be ok to re-use it?
