will it make power at ALL? at any point
i feel like the right side wants to get up and go and the left side wont, hard to explain. The bike has a thumble/sputter through the RPMs it really won’t get into powerband.

i swapped the reeds from left to right and the problem stayed on the left side

ok so did the ohm test everthing passed
ignition coil. 18.8
pick up coil 119.7
light coil .25

watched a couple of south texas banshee vids, im going to try and trim and reinstall the coil wires, also move the needle jet up 1 more notch i have it on the 3rd from bottom maybe its running to fat causing it to misfire on the left side then im going to ohm the stator

Yes. You can test your stator with an ohm meter. Go to YouTube on the southtexasbanshee page and he has a video of testing your electrical

What’s your compression in that cylinder?
is it possible to borrow a CDI from someone to test against yours?
habe you ohm’d out your electrical?
117psi left 120 right... before he brought me the bike he swaped the coil and cdi and no change
think it could have sonething to do with the stator?

hey everyone im trying to help out a friend that brought me his 97 banshee to get it running, so he says he was riding and out if no where the bike started sputtering and didnt want to run right
motor has 65.50 pistons
stock carbs
300 main jets
27.5 pilots
T5 pipes
open airbox lid with an alba single filter
so bike starts 1st kick idles perfect, issue is when you ride it it sputters and wont get into the power band i noticed normal smoke from right side stinger left side not so much and when reved doesnt feel like anything is coming out the left
i swapped spark plug wires to see if it changed nothing iam getting spark on both
i checked carb float heights and made sure it was getting fuel and it is
i rewired some of the harness thinking it has a short due to the led lights he wired in, there was a blue wire from cdi that looked burnt so i rewired that.
i did a compression check left side is shy of 120psi
right side is at 120psi
i also swapped right carb to left side to see if i got a change fired right up idled good as long as i held the choke tube with my finger but again nothing changed with left cylinder
ive been on it for 2 days now and at my wits end any advise would help big time, in which way i should look next thanks guys

your using an aggressive cleaner, you are better off with something like simple green which is strong but not enough to hurt the aluminum.
sounds good next ride im going ro use simple green and aee how it works thanks for the advice

Sucks man! Simple Green has never done me wrong.
got it figured out used steelwool grit 000 with some WD-40 and polished right up i need a couple more hours into it though

I believe they are coated & thats what's etched, either way, only fix is alota elbow grease now

so i was cleaning the bike after my last ride i normally use formula 88 i spray down the whole bike then wash it off works awesome, but this is the first wash since i put the noss cool head on it, i sprayed the formula 88 on the head washed it off now the head is no longer polished it has a white residue on it and no matter what i use to clean it it will not polish back up? i used mothers polish and also turtle polish wax. any ideas

seems like the rewire fixed the issue, i went on a 3mile ride around my house and let the bike idle for about 10 min and it never sputtered 1 time and fired right up everytime

why kind of leak do you speak of? ill take the stinger off and see what happens. when i did the compression test it was 117psi and held strong.
