  1. Driveline 421 assassin , 34mm mikuni, k&n pods, vf4, sea level. Where should I start with jetting? The carbs have 270 main and 30 pilots now and came off a stock cylinder stroker. 0dbecd8f83fd7b7cc988583f6781eb60.jpg

I know neither is ideal but pro circuit or t5s? I have t5s now and my buddy said he’d strait trade for the pro circuits.

Looking to put 34mm carbs on my motor what’s the best intake to use? I see some on eBay and the $200 ones look the same as the $500 ones. I’m not looking to spend extra money for no reason but I’m also not looking to blow up my motor from an air leak. None of them seemed branded. Who makes a decent intake for bigger carbs that I can rely on?

In the process of building my driveline assassin 4mil.

The build is driveline +4 crank, assassin cylinders 68mm low port, promod transmission, vf4 reeds, toomy t5s. I’m wondering what I should do for carbs? I messaged driveline to get a starting point for jetting on my pwk28s and they told me they had no luck getting the pwks jetted properly. Told me I was better off with stock. I’m just building it for light trailing and ripping around gravel pits. What carbs would you put on this setup? I have access to a few different sets of carbs. I have stock, genuine pwk28s, 34mm mikuni and 32mm keihin right off hand or I’ll buy another set of there is something that would be perfect.

  4. The gear closest to the sprocket isn’t spinning freely so I’m guessing that might have something to do with it. Gonna have to bite the bullet and send this in to get pro modded. I’ve known all along I needed to get a promod but they’re expensive lol. Who’s does the best work on transmissions?

  5. You're making more power now. You need a Pro-Mod transmission.

I’m just building the motor now so the problem existed before I made more power. And I think I’m just going to bite the bullet and get the promod tranny and new shift forks. I’m this far in now may as well do it right.

  6. Yes bearing could be your problem.
Usually its just an adjustment issue.
Has it been getting worse or been hard since you got it?
Shifts hard all the time, or under a load?
Whats hp difference between this one & last one?

It was never really that bad until I did a bunch of donuts on hot pavement lol so I know I wore something out just not sure what it is.

  7. What should I look for in my transmission? My bike doesn’t shift how I’d like it to. I just sold a mint banshee that shifted perfect there was a positive click when I put it in gear. My current motor I’m building kind of just gets forced into gear. How do I tell if my shift forks or shift drum is bad? The shift forks glide like butter on the rods. The shift drum bearing was bad would that cause hard shifts? I’m contemplating just replacing the shift drum and forks. It’s a brand new driveline 421 Assassin kit going on brand new cases so I feel like cutting corners now would be dumb but I don’t want to spend a bunch of money I don’t have to either.

Found a set. I went to a buddy of mines uncles house to go on a bike run and I saw an old warrior behind the garage looked like it had been there for a while and it had gold rims on it. I asked about them he told me he’d sell the whole bike for $200 not running. So I bought it. Listed it for sale with no rims on the way home for $150 and sold it before I even got home. Told the guy to bring a 14mm socket. He even took the rims off for me lol

  9. Had my motor apart to do a full rebuild and now there’s something up with my kickstart. It will miss every few kicks and won’t engage. I had a bad coil so I couldn’t drive it until now and I started it and the kicker shot forward more than I had it set to. I had it set where I wanted it. But now it’s way forward. 139caa5d63436481d9364e2bbae340fd.jpg

Anybody know what would cause this? I’m about to tear it apart now and just looking for suggestions as to what to look for

  10. Send me your address, I have a pile of them.

Turns out I don’t even have the wire for it so I’m not going to need it. Bought a nice original 2001 I’m trying to bring back to complete stock. Guess it will be complete stock with out the tors. The way it should have came

  11. Got a freshly rebuilt banshee with pwk 28mm carbs I’ve been playing with the jetting and I can get it to idle good and rev good in my garage but as soon as I take it out on the road it bogs pretty bad. If I’m light on the throttle I can get it to rev through the gear but if I try to giver it just bogs. Put it in neutral and it revs up again.

Running 48 pilots and 148 mains. 148 is the smallest I have at the moment. I’ve tried lowering and raising the needle and it doesn’t make a difference. No air box lid, fmf sst pipes, cool head with 21cc domes, vforce 4 reeds.
