So you think I should get one of these http://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?nav=item.view&id=291504456529&alt=web

So I searched around a little bit and only found threads from about 2007 but the carrier I have on my stock swing arm now appears to be 3 pieces I will get pictures in the morning. There is play inbetween the bearing carrier itself and the 2 end brackets. it seems the aluminum is worn and there's no way to fix. I was told it was a durablue axle also not sure if this matters. But what carriers do you guys like for the stock style swinger? . Really trying to avoid getting into a 400$+ roundhouse setup right now.

Didn't know Racetech had a website and everything does anyone know how long it would take to get one of his stators
-
Ouch. 529$ for a new oem stator if I can't clean that looks like I'm trying to get a hold of racetech or swap shop
-
Looking like my stator is junk. What are your guys thoughts

So I pulled the flywheel and stator today the flywheel has a faint rattle when you shake it. I thought I remembered that meant it was no good. I also pulled the stator I will get some pics in a few minutes
-
Yeah I'll grab a puller and get that flywheel off and get cleaning.

Long time no see... The last time I went for a ride I seemed to have a high end miss. On the way back to my truck i crossed a small puddle and the bike died and took 5 mins to get started again. Got it running brought it home and it ran alright again so I washed it. Dead again. So today I pulled the stator cover and found obvious signs of water. I cleaned the contacts on the flywheel with a wire brush and it seemed to run a lot better and the miss was gone. But I had a few questions. What is going on with the yellow flywheel is it aftermarket or some backyard surface rust fix? Should I pull the flywheel and buy one on here while it's apart? It felt like it ran good to me. Also back by the cases behind the stator I noticed some rust/corrosion, if this flywheel is alright to run is it worth pulling the flywheel to clean it or do they all have it? From what I could see of the stator through the holes in the flywheel it looked alright. Figured I'd get some opinions while it's apart. Now for the pics

There the gaskets that chariot sold awhile ago everyone on here was buying them they've been in a sealed plastic bag. Think there good to use?
-
So ive been getting a dust/dirt build up around my right side reed, i am afraid this is a air leak so im gonna pull it apart and put in new reed gaskets. I was reading my clymers and on the removal it says remove any sealer if there is any but they don't say to apply sealer on installation. You think i should put some rtv on there or is just a gasket enough? What do you guys do?

Solenoid that engages the transfercase is probably stuck. Its usually a round black solenoid on the side of the transfercase. Tap it with a hammer and you should hear it unfreeze and move.
-
You should be able to have the mounting bracket welded back on.

What do you want for it and do I have to change the bearings?
