  1. Report back when you're on fire.

    I'm not on fire but I'm definitally blazed :jesterlaugh::dance: . Just got back from a Red Hot Chili Peppers with my dad and sister and a friend. We got Anthony's drum head from his snare drum, with their logo and some righting drawn on it and the set list on the back! Were a bit high as fuck cause everyone was smokin' some ganja.

  2. Whats bad is if you ever get a methanol fire in daylight. It burns a nice light blue color and its almost impossible to see in direct light. You just feel this insane hot burning sensation and have to try and figure out where its coming from. LOL!

    Yeah, I once saw a CSI episode where someone soaked some guys racing suit in methanol and then when the guy was working on his race car in the pits he set himself on fire, but it was a sunny day so no one knew, and he burned to death...

    Oh man, glade everything worked out,and didnt burn down, but that is a funny story...live and learn :jesterlaugh:

    Hahaha, sometimes I learn the hard way

    Lucky it didnt burn your skin off...A couple of years ago one of my employees opened a truck box in the dark and used a lighter to see... well at his suprise some dumb ass put a gas can without a lid inside of it.... And BAM blew a flame in his face and burnt him real bad.... your lucky bro!!

    Yeah, I am really lucky.

  3. I didn't believe the starting fluid can when it said Danger: Flammable. I was working on my Suzuki DR 250 dual sport 4-poke and sprayed some starting fuild in the airbox. for those of you who havent seen the airbox, there is a large hole on the very top facing upwards that goes under the seat. I was looking down above that hole when I turned the starter over and BAM! backfire! A huge flame shot out and I could feel and see it flow over my face and dissipate into the airbox. It kept burning in the airbox, so I yelled "OH SHIT!" and jumped around a little since it was packed in the garage behind two chainsaws and some bins. I ran inside and got a bowl of water, ran back into the garage, and the flames were out. For good measure I poured it in the airbox anyway. Rolled the fucker into the driveway and now its sitting out there. So yeah, luckily I still have my eyebrows and hair. Nothing like setting your dirt bike on fire in your garage to keep you on your toes!

  4. I bought a used big bore top end kit and everything is absolutely perfect, shiny, and you can still see the cross hatching. But, there is damage to the top of one of the pistons. Not sure how it happend, but I need to get a new one. Anyway, they are 68.50mm bore. The cylinders appear to be stockers sleeved with a Vito's 404 kit or something. They are the cast pistons for this kit, not the Wiesco forged pistons custom made for the kit. Anyway, does anyone know what other 68mm big bore pistons would be safe to use for this kit? Vito's wants $63 plus shipping per piston w/rings and $20 for a set of rings. I was gonna buy a single piston/rings for 1 cylinder, and another set of rings for the other cylinder. I was also gonna buy a jet kit from vito's, which would cost me $50. I of course would need a top end gasket set ($30?). If I can find a cheaper set of rings and pistons than the ones from Vito's I would gladly buy those instead.

  5. If you just leave it on there, you will eventually be redoing your top end because of it. It will sit there wiggling back and forth as you ride and eventually it will crack your intake boots causing an air leak and a topend meltdown!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Fine, ill take it off and put in a crossover tube when I install the big bore kit I picked up last weekend :headbang:

  6. Here ya go guys . One note though;

    I like to place a socket extension between the lift wheels & lift plate and then release the pressure on the jack. Just keeps pressure off the actual lift.

    It's not nessassary but I figure it will last longer without the constant weight on the lift assembly.

    Nice tires. I run the same ones on my 'shee now. Man, that lift kicks ass too

  7. Vito's 404 kit. 68.50 mm pistons. 398cc. bore is perfect, ports are spotless (AND PORTED), and rings are excellent. Everythings perfect except some damage to the top of one piston. I can get another piston/rings/wrist pin for $40 on ebay though. I paid $175 and drove 2 hours one way to get these puppies. This outa get me moving along. I am selling my pipes, and buying some other goodies (duneable trans, +4 timing plate, ect.). Check the pics:

  8. Nice. I knew they weren't stockers. They actually are ported as is. He has the whole top end minus gaskets and stud extenders for $175. I alright got dibbs. I'm picking them up tomorrow. Making a 2 hour trip to get em (and dirt biking). At that price I can afford a duneable transmission to go with those. Or a 4 mil crank kit from Vito's. or bigger carbs. The possibilities are endless! :rotflmao:

  9. I love bubble wrap. If you plan on using peanuts, please seal the pipes off so peanuts can't sneak inside the expansion chamber. I recieved a set of pipes that were packaged very well but had a few peanuts inside. Took me quite a while to get them out. lol

    Sealing the ends - noted lol. I'm gonna bubble wrap the hell out of them and put them in a box surrounded by packing peanuts
