Ive been trying to post a pic. o well.
I'll have to wait till next weekend to continue with this tear down anyway.
Thanks for the help. I'll post some pics when I remove the F'n thing.
-
Exactly, that clip just keeps it from pulling out of the case, not the cover. I took it off anyway.
This things really pissin me off now.
-
I took the clip off a while ago. Im wondering if the o ring in there has hardened. I figure I might have to just cut the joint apart and buy a new one.
-
Re building this motor. Started removing the clutch cover and can only get it separated about 1/2-3/4" from the case, its separating because the joint is sliding through the case.joint has not come out of the clutch cover at all, even after constant pulling. I tried using shims, lotta pressure, still wouldn't pull out. Sprayed some shyte in there too. WTF?
Hacksaw?

Ah, this site is called BansheeHQ. WTF do you think the answer is??????
-
Well, this is one fucked up thread here
-
Do you mean the tips of your plugs are tan, or a tan ring with the threads chopped off?
And if you've been riding in the summer months in MN, then you'll definitely want to jet up for Winter.
If you don't have it already, go and download the Banshee Digital Toolkit,
http://www.4shared.com/dir/JGdLyFR1/Banshee_Digital_Toolkit.html
and use the jetting calc. to help you get your jetting close.
-
If you haven't got the time right now to check your jetting and do a chop, at least throw out your current jet settings.
AND your elevation and temp, since we can't look that up for you, like we usually would if you revealed your location haha!!
-
Race whoever you want, who gives a shit what these guys say.
But 300 mains with that setup, with Ohio temps? When was the last time you did a plug chop???

Hows it going,
I did alot of research but wasnt able to get a definate answer. As i was doing the tors removal kit, I lost both washers that sit on top of the e clip/ needle on the throttle valve slide. Its above the clip on the needle and below the spring retaining plate. My understanding is they are shims for when you need them. I have a completely stock bike with just a pro design foam filter. Do you think i need to replace them to put above the e-clip?
http://www.jetsrus.com/individual_parts/009_395_su.html Do these look right?
Or can i just ignore not having them? Is the neddle always gonna sit lose/ wobbly in the throttle slide?
thanks for your time guys.
The washers weren't doing anything sitting above the clip. They are stored there in case you need them below the clip. And the needle retainer should keep the needle from floppin around.
Before you know if you even need the washers, you need to get your jetting right, the best place to start is to use the Banshee Digital Toolbox,
