really? why?

Dont lie to us. You just forgot to turn the gas back on
haha, I actually think I had the slides in wrong and it was super flooded. I feel completely stupid for doing that!

Took it all back apart. Checked everything and it all looked good. Got it back together and kicked it over for about 20 minutes. Finally got it started! I have no idea what was wrong but it started.
Thank you all for the advice on what to check for.

What do u mean by choke tube? The one between the carbs is attached.

Stock carbs, TORS are removed.

My little brother just bought a banshee and it ran great. We ran it for about 10 minutes and then parked it. It was dirty so I cleaned it and pulled the carbs off to clean them. I got it all out back together and now it won't start!!!
I have not pulled the carbs back off yet to see if I screwed anything up. It is getting spark and has two new spark plugs. When I kick it there is still compression. Any advice on where to start?

4 Mill stock cylinder or cub? Go back to stock carbs either way but unless you have a large motor you will be just fine with 35 carbs
4 mill stock cylinders with a cool head. It has been ported but I have no idea what type of job was done. I bought the cylinders years ago from some guy parting out a bike. Compressions is 165. I run 110 octane. t-6 pipes
What would be the advantages to going back to two carbs?
Should I go with the PWK airstrykers? or just a standard PWK? Whats the difference between the two?

go back to dual carbs
if I went back to dual carbs should I run the PWK 38's? Where should I start with jetting?
-
Currently running a 4mil with a single carb (2 into 1). It has a PJ on it with a 184 main jet. Clip is on the second to richest. Carb leaks horribly and I think I can get more out of this motor.
I am thinking of switching to a 38mm PWK. Is this a good idea? What size main jet should I use?

So I figured out what the problem was. I took off the straight cut gears and when I pulled off the crank gear it was really tight and made a screeching noise as I pulled it off. When I put on the stock gears and started the motor it was fine. I am going to send back the gears or try to take a little metal out of the center of the gear so it fits better.
-
Do you think the noise could be coming from the water pump bearing? I did check this bearing but saw some wear on the outer plate where the impeller meets the cover.
-
The ratio is 2.86 so I take it the problem is not that washer but I will check anyway. I think that it might be the TZ bearing. When I split the motor for the second time and spun every bearing in my hand all sounded fine accept for the TZ. It made a little noise. Have you experienced one of these being bad right out of the box?

Hey guys I am new to the site but have read multiple different threads to help me out through the years. I finally have a problem that I cannot find any discussion on. I just rebuilt my motor and put a 4mil with a max load and TZ bearing on it. I also did straight cut gears and a billet clutch basket. I got the motor together and it fired right up. The only problem is that it is making this terrible whining noise out of the bottom end. I actually pulled the motor back apart to see if I did everything right and found nothing wrong. When I put it back in the noise was still there. I have no idea what could be wrong and why it is making this whining noise. Any help please!
Thanks

It is just a dune bike. I rarely drag race. The mid and low end are amazing and it still holds its own if I do want to drag. It has been ported and is not "spacer plate racer". haha
thank you very much. this is exactly what I needed. A buddy of mine has a set I am going to try.
