OOps was wrong on the cr/yz thing - but the guy went back and changed / edited his eBay listing numbnuts - he did originally have 4999.00 as the price.....I.E. the seller was on crack stud.

I cut the wires to the on/off switch, and wired the kill switch directly to the black/white wire. Where has everyone attached the ground wire?
I'll tackle the key tonight.
Also, as far as weatherproofing the areas where the wires are spliced, what's everyone's suggestion (tape, rubber sheathing, etc.)?
I always use the heat shrink wrap made for protecting wires w/ a heat gun or lighter, etc....

I used the same type of switch (Pro Design). I set mine up at first with all (3) Key, Kill switch & tether cord - then after
I replaced my handle bars decided to remove my key completely because of the stock key mount being in the way. So now I just have the
tether cord & kill switch on the handle bars. Easyday to wire it in.

yeah the oval one or tear drop shaped one goes up top closest to the engine around the swingarm. and the rollers go above and below the chain.
X2 Just put one of these on a few days ago - I used one by TM Designworks - nice piece of gear man.
Just zip off that old stocker plastic ring with a air tool or dremmel, new one pops right on & tighten down, done deal.

Now all he needs to do is get that bathtub sitting out in the backyard with grass all grown up around it and make a "utility trailer" for it.
HaHa
This looks like some shit those guys from the TV show American Pickers would piss all over themselves for and try to haggle the guy down to $200

I can't tell from the picture, have you taken the piston off the rod and looked at the wrist pin bearings? I have had new bearings where the some of the needles were not properly inserted in the cage when being manufactured and it could have fallen into the cases during assembly. It is not a big deal if you catch it before assembling the topend, just push the needles into the cage properly. If you don't catch it then you can see the results.
If you did the previous rebuild because of a crank failure, then it could have been hiding in your pipes. I always flush out my pipes with solvent when doing a rebuild after a catastrophic failure.
X2 on flushing the pipes - seen a buddy learn the hard way one time, thats all it took for me.
Damn that sucks - don't even sound like he got to ride the Shee before it had a heart attack
-
You mentioned just installed new crank, rods, pistons, cylinders, head etc.. - what was the reason for complete top & bottom end rebuild? Did you have a bad crank bearing when the old parts were removed? Maybe one of those lower needle bearings were malingering around in there some where and snuck past ya during re-assembly?

Anyone got any good multiple shots of this over flow bottle mod? Just ordered one from JD that holds the CDI & voltage regulator
- getting the Shee ready for it so I can put it in as soon as the big brown sliegh (UPS) pulls up the driveway.

I have ran the BR8IEX's same heat range as the stock plugs. I have seen the denso iridums they are a better design. They have a finer wire center electrode. I believe they are IW24.
Another plug that I run is a BPR8ES same plug as stock only the tip is a projected tip. It hanges down in the combustion chamber. Then you side gap them.
I have run the BR9IEX's - The only difference I've noticed is the crazy price difference between them & the BPR9ES
-
I would pay money to see that -
-
lol - funny

This is funny as hell - great lmfao
