  1. Remove your clutch cover, it is right there on the end of the crank. Also inspect the key in the gear and make sure when you move the shifter, that it turns the shift star/drum. If this all checks out, then you will probably have to split the cases. If you don't know what the things I mentioned are, you need to get a service manual and start reading so you know how your bike works. Also spend some time on this website reading the technical information and some of the threads in the repair section.

looks like its time to open it back up again! lol is either of these a common problem for coming loose?

  2. Please help.. Whilst riding recently in really heavy mud my banshee suddenly stopped as if it popped out of gear (i was going up hill) I then tried getting it back in gear, it seemed to be going into each gear but no drive? So thought maybe id killed the clutch as there was a smell like a frazzled clutch.. New clutch ordered an installed.. Starts up first kick as always and goes into each gear but doesnt seem to actually engage anything, just sits and revs? what could be the problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  5. hey adam, where abouts are ya in the UK? im west midlands, yeh i have to import all the cool stuff for the shee from the us, like my T5 tommey pipe kit, they get my vote, i ride woods and mx, but now ive got the 450 front end, which makes its a bitch to steer round the trees and stumps, so its mx tracks every weekend for me now!

hi mike i live in Kent, have you got any good tracks round your way.. very limited here altho in crawley we go to a massive woods once a month which would easily cater for your steering.. sunday is the next event..

  6. my missus loves quads now shes been out a few times with me.. so i bought her a quad.. an lt250r.. now the problem i have is that in the time of trying to find her a decent quad thats not nicked or falling appart shes been riding my shee to get a bit of practice.. so today ive jus ot back from a day of riding an i think i must have spent about 5 mins on mine the whole day!!! shes now told me she doesnt like the 250 an wants my banshee or i have to buy her one! i feel used! lol

  7. I used to race motocross untill i nearly snapped my spine.. in hospital for two weeks with a twisted spine!! sold my bike an got bored soon after so said i was gonna get another bike but the girlfriend said i wasnt allowed.. thought whats the next best thing.. a quad.. now the best thing!! i wanted something that no one i knew had and could beat my mates raptor's an trx's.. so tried a shee and had to concentrate when riding (didnt want to come off the back!) i knew i had to have it so gave the guy the money there an then!

  8. ive got a standard shee in terms of engine.. i eventually want to put a 4mill in so i want something that i dont really have to change too soon as i have to import everything!.. i do alot of woods riding and am hoping to compete in my first race soon, what types of pipes would be best suited? any help would be appriciated!

  9. Shit, haven't heard of them refered to as fags for 40+ years. You don't want to smoke a "FAG" on this side of the pond. What the hell do you call queers ,homosexuals , and lesbiens in Brittan?

lol all of the above..jus like fashion everything comes around eventually.. an i dunno about you guys over there but lesbians over here we call good entertainment!

  10. A man walks into a pharmacy an says "wheres the Tampax" ? The assistant replies "over there mate" The man returns with cotton wool balls and toilet paper.. "thought you wanted Tampax ? "yeah well last week i asked the wife to buy me a pack of 20 fags, but she came back with a pouch of tabacco - so well see how she likes rolling her own!!"

  11. Welcome to BHQ !! Took you a year to say something ? WTF? Just kidding. How about a brief description of what you did.

i bought my shee of a guy who rolled it an needed to be air lifted by ambulance to hospital, his misses said he needed to sell it so his pain my gain.. an at a very cheap price! ;-)

it wouldnt start when i bought it so i completly stripped it down to the bare frame an had every inch of it powder coated in black with a few blue bits.. ive bought various parts from the states that were worn or broken from the crash but not really had to buy to much, after putting all back together i then sent my engine away to a local engine rebuilder who completly stripped the engne and upped the bore .2. www.stanstevens.com he knows his two strokes an builds what you want,.. an was quite cheap! (for any uk banshee owners) it now starts first time everytime an the power for a standard bike is quite fun! altho i am thinking about now putting in a 4mill after reading alot of posts on here..

but that is after i put it on the road ;-) only a few more bits left to get an ill be all road legal! in some ways it is fun being in the UK ;-)
