  3. I have just purchased a set of toomey tr6 pipes. So all together my shee now has: toomey t'6 pipes(270 jetting), v-force 3 reeds, k&n air filter pods. I am going to get +4 timing plate and bigger carbs here soon. But i need to know what gear ratio would get me my desired top end. i heard toomey tr6 have high rpms for none ported engines so i bought a set for 250$ on craigs list.

I would like to at least be able to do high 70's - mid 80's(mph)in top end. Not faster or slower. I am at stock gearing right now which i believe is 14/42 and i get right at 72 mph. would 15/41 get me to high 70s if not more? I have been thinking about getting porting done but im unsure weather it would take to much reliability out of the quad or not. Unless i really need it for the top end im hoping for.

any advice would be strongly appreciated, thanks in advance guys.

    stock gearing is 14/41

my bike use to be on 15/41 and top end it would be low to mid 80s my mods where pro circuits, 280 jets,K&N with stock air box

    hope that helps

  4. I also am building a 4 mil and had cylinders ported by Kevin but I got a drag port. Just talk to Kevin he will get you right where you need and want to be. I've called him countless times he will spend the time to listen to you and recomend the right set up for your riding style. As for your carbs just ask him what does he think would be best. You might be in the 34 35 range

  5. If I am not mistaken the Hotrod crank and the Wiseco crank are manufactured at the same place. THe only difference is the Hotrod connecting rod is labeled Hotrod and the Wiseco is not. Not 100$% sure of this but I remember something along these lines.

    SP

hey guys well the 4mil crank i got is a Wiseco long rod and they are labeled Wiseco on the rod hope that helps

i heard there only difference is that the Hot Rods comes true and welded from factory and the Wdoesnt.

i had mine true and welded when i bought it from the place i bought it then had Kevin fron HJR renforce the welds

    hope any of this helps

  7. Ya you could have shop around little more I got my 99 with pipes for 1800 but hey the important thing is you own a banshee no matter year or condition your gonna have a blast on it

. I should have specified that I am not planning on riding too terribly often. I may go to the local trails 4-5 times a year so I can get my 5 year old out on his Honda ATC70 to get him learing. I just wanted something to mess around on when we were out there.

Just something to mess around i think a few of us have thought like that I know I did and now 3 months later Kevin from Herr Jugs racing has my cylinders and a few other of my parts and I also have him on speed dial haha.

    Again welcome to the club!
