  1. yea i told them the crank bearing where going bad. the 450 r is real nice the motor was built by baldwin motorsports and they did one hell of a job it got a +2 swing arm rpm skid plates did chain hmf full exhaust , did rims with new hole tires . their only one problem with it it needs rejetted but runs better then the shee . http://www.myspace.com/farva1001 check my pics of the banshee and the 450 r and my other toys

  2. Like the donkey man said lol. Clean your slide good with a rag and some brake clean and also clean the inside of the carbs with a rag and brake clean.

their is supposed to be gaskets on the reeds and boots right i'm new to this and building my first quad from ground up

  3. carb slides in backwards? weak spring inside carbs, weak spring inside thumb throttle, burs inside carb slides or gummed up? i usually pull my slides off and hit them with some 600 grit sand paper to make sure their real nice and smooth so they dont meet any resistence.

also is it the slides sticking or do you have an airleak somewhere around the boots from a boostbottle or something

the airleak is a possibilty would the airleak all cause it to backfire

  4. It's the same size as the fuel timing going to the petcock to the carbs.

If you dont run it, it will have horrible low end and be a bitch to start. When i first built my shee, i forgot it was on there and i had TONS of problems with it. Put the crossover on and everything was fine.

all right sweet but will it be causeing it to backfire

  5. So what your saying is you don't take very good care of your shit...If I'm wrong please correct me..

ummm yes u r correct the chain is the only thing i dont take care of, i change my oil ever 4 rides and air filter every 10 so i take care of the rest of it i just dont c the use in taking care of a chain when ur hole state "wv" is soft mudd and coal

  6. Your local dealer or e-bay,one vent goes to fitting in rear of motor under mount, one goes to clutch cover fitting,(behind three screw cover clutch side),they T-together betwwen both carbs and just run up near the upper steering stem mount and dead end ,its not going to cause it not to run.Did you buy a bone stock motor or is it modded if so what mods and what carbs and jetting will come into play.your carbs or did they come with motor and who did you buy motor off so we can find out info

i bought it from eastcoast banshee and it all stock except for being bored .20 over it didnt come with carbs i had mine

  7. Have you touched your slides in the carbs, cut out goes toward back of bike, slides in wrong side.If your an electrician get a clymers manuel look at the schematic for the ignition system you will see what wires need to stay and go.Im an electrician in nyc and had no problem making custom harnesses in bikes im sure you can too
