  1. is alky hard to tune never ran it before?

  4. looking for some carbs for my 421. i have a spare set of 35mm pwks and a set of 38mm pjs. im not sure weather im running gas or alky. can some one tell me what is going to be the easist carbs to tune. i could have my 35mm bored out?
  5. why not just have a builder look at them and see it cant cost much to have them looked at and maybe they can help you with them

  8. the motor is not ported, i got it from a guy who had rudy kurtzy put it together. then i had a friend at gbracing put a duneable trans and a slingshot in it. dont know what the domes are it has vf 3 reeds and came with 38mm pj carbs. im undecided about having it ported since i have never did any drag racing or even had a cub till know. what do you think
  9. would i get small or big bore, and does it matter if there out one side or other or both sides
  10. i have a 421 cub that i am setting up for draging, it is not ported and not sure if i am going to run gas or alky. i have cpi inframes right now. would shearer out of frame small bores be better than the cpis or would the shearer inframes be better? whats your thoughts thanks

  12. i could not tell you for sure what it is but jim set the whole motor up. im just not satified with it for a duner motor it runs hard trust me just not a full duner motor. i think jim maybe got a little extreme with the porting when the cylinders went back so he made sure it had alot of top end power. the cylinders will run hard as a drag cylinder just not for me as a duner. so i will get a new set done thats all
  13. thats what my first passion motor was supposed to be and it ended up be ported more as a drag motor, and i have over 600 invested into the porting and having it redone to me thats quit a bit of money for porting, it runs hard as a drag motor but i wanted a duner motor

  17. ill hook you up if you want them pm if your interested i have cpi pipes 185 psi and 35mm carbs. they run hard just not to my likings
  18. i had to send my cylinders back to jim the first time because it had hardly any power costing me 100 to ship them back and forth. he said he fixed them but i think now its a full drag port. it runs hard just hard to dune here in michigan. think its time for change.

  20. . i have a hard time keeping my passion motor in the power band and duning it kinda sucks ass
  21. my 4mm passion motor was supposed to be a dune port, but its closer to being a drag port and its hard to ride or keep in the power band, either all or nothing? i may have explain myself poorly
  22. does you hjr dune port run, does it pull like crazyand is it hard to ride , is it a 4mm or stock stroke
  23. wondering if i should 4mm dune port my cylinders or just stock stroke dune port. i want to send them to herr juggs. the only reason i ask is because i have a 4mm passion port and its more of a drag port than a dune and i have another motor with a stock stroke and i could use that motor with a dune port and leave my passion motor all together. will there be a big difference in power from a 4mm to a stock stroke . thanks
