  1. hey im not sure about where u could race in montana, the only thing id say is try to search for places on the net....but as far as setups go for a xc banshee....u are gonna want some low end pipes, i have fmf gnarlies, they work great, some people dont like them, but i love them, i can keep up with a 450 all day on the trails.... another thing is u want some good tires....we are talkin like kenda klaws or gncc tires. depending on how tight the course is u might wanna keep ur aarms the stock length, mine are 2 plus 1 but u definatly will want a set of nice adjustable shocks. i have elkas , but if u are short on cash, go to craigslist or on here, and find someone with yfz450 shocks, they also work well, i had those the first few harescrambles i raced in. once u get out there and race a few times, then u can maybe do more mods to your bike, but keep it simple for now, ur gonna need alot of endurance to race a harescramble. so like i said, get ur self some low end pipes, then some better suspension, after u got those 2 things and u have some money left over, go for the tires.

  2. hello everyone, i just picked up another 2003 banshee, this one is stock and im looking to do some drag racing with it....i want to convert to alcohol, can i do that on a stock motor or will i have to work my way up to that.....all advice welcome thanks!

  3. ok, so should i keep my stock a arms for now, a lot of people are tellin me to get extended a arms????i can get the shocks for 100 bucks, but i dont know if its worth it, id rather just get some elkas or something. another thing, do i want piggyback or remote??? i have about 1000 to spend right now, and once i get back from iraq i might have a little more. i definatly want to improve my suspension and maybe a steering stabilizer and some there mods to get rid of some of the wicked arm pump im gonna have. what do u think i should do with.....lets say 1500 dollars. after that ill just add stuff as money comes in. thanks

  4. im on a pretty tight budget right now, but i do understand where ur comin from it makes sense, so ill go with ur advise and get extended a arms and front shocks and maybe a swingarm...then go from there, any opinions on good parts??? do u think my fatty pipes will really do the job then? ive heard people doing gncc and mx like 916's and gnarlys????

  5. hey im going to be in south carolina for four years and im trying to find some tracks to race at, i know GNCC has the BIG BUCK event and there another one in north carolina, but thats all im finding, ive looked on the net, but i guess i dont know what to search for, can any one please help me out? do i have to join a league or anything? whats the deal. thanks.

  6. alright guys i think im gonna go with the banshee, if always wanted to so why not. now how much am i looking at money wise for suspension, should i go with a -1 or -2 swingarm, what kind of a-arms, shocks, ect ect. ive already looked at some of your guys setups but more opinions are appreciated. im lookin to not spend to much right off the bat, but will eventually upgrade to the best. right now i just need a good start, should i change my pipes to gnarlys or keep the fmf fattys, should i change my sproket gearing.....

  7. hyperlite, what class would the raptor be in if i raced it? open class? im keeping all options open right now, id love to race a banshee its a relic and everyone knows it, but if its not worth my time and money ill have to look into the raptor which already has alot of work done to it. im 200 pounds and 6 feet tall and the suspension is setup for me i just dont hear alot about raptors racing....any more input would be appriciated

  8. i have a 03 banshee with fmf fattys and powercore 2 silencers boost bottle, gncc tires and unfortunatly a stock suspension. and i have a 2004 raptor 660 with a large amount of mods. the thing is that i dont see myself throwing a raptor around for 2-3 hours, even though i know a banshee aint to much easier. i guess im lookin for tip and suggestions. should i race the banshee or the raptor, and depending on which one what kind of a setup should i prepare my wallet for. another option i might have is selling the raptor for a yfz 450 which then obviously i would race that, but right now thats not in the cards. i will appreciate all help.

  9. hey im new to the banshee world i have a raptor660 and i just bought a banshee, have some suspension work, fmf fatty pipes with silencers boost bottle...real basic...im looking to race my quad on mx tracks, but i want to know from you guys if its worth it, what i need to do to my shee, and if they even allow them. thanks
