Ok Ok after a few trys and not much luck I am going to try to split the cases. BUT IN EVERY TEARDOWN i have read all the linkage must be removed first. I am going to try tomorrow but I still have doughts seing how the linkage that goes through the top of the case is stuck from underneith. But thanks for all the info my fears have turned more to sadness and the sadness to pain MY BABY IS HURT!! she has many good seasons and never left me stranded. she is a 2001 and she has had. 2 topends <-not needed just done, 2 clutches,10 rear tires, and umteen oil changes thats it! I dont wanna do open heart on her but tomorrow she goes in the shed for surgery. :ermm:

I am far away from the basket all i have left is the Long rod and the pull lever on top of the case. I am trying to unjam the lever. the long rod has mushroomed from what i can tell. i have bout a 1/4 inch movement in the lever and bout an 1/8 in the long rod. The ball and short rod adjuster havr been removed.

Thanks for the input guys! I am still tryin at it from the top I dont want to split the cases. I just got back with 2 36" prybars. I will let you know the outcome.

Am I going to have to replace all the seal and what not if i split the cases? i am a low budget builder. not a cheap ass but if I dont have to fuck it up I wont! Kinda sounds like my season ended today.

Just wondering if I would be better off doing it in frame or not. i dont have a stand.

Do they make a puller that will mount to a slap hammer? Any one near Houston Have one?

ok so I have been hard at it and i still cant get the dajustment lever out of the case. I can get it to come up some than its hung. Is orentation important? It will move just the smallest bit back and forth but when i come up on it It just hangs up. Anyone ever faced this? P.S. I have been at it with.. prybar,hammer,18 nail bar, screwdrivers. I am no puss I got bout a buc ninty five on the hoof so Its GETTN BEAT ON.

THANX MAN :biggrin: :thumbsup: I started Trying to get the Aligenment lever out of the case and no such luck. Its hung up harder tha a $2 buk f@*k in china town! ANY IDEAS i have to get this out before i can split the cases. There is no way it can be this hard!!

Anyone got any ideas? I can get a magnet on the ro but it will only move bout a 1/8 inch. I can feel it clickin in the clutchcable when i move the rod. PLEASE HELP!!!

ok I am downloading some pisc now. Kinda shitty but its all i got. All I can get out is the Ball and rod with the nut. I will be puting a pancake bering in and a ceramic ball, But first I got to get my lever un stuck I NEED HELP!!

Ok so He pulled the clutch and rode it for 1/4 mile or so then came back Like your clutch broke.:mad: WHAT?!? I grabed the lever and ROCK SOLID!!:mad: So I tore the cover off and as your guessed the ball and rod are one so i got them out now my lever is still stuck!! I can see on the ball here it tried to weld on both sides!! Any ideas on how to fix this? NE ONE IN HOUSTON TX WANNA COME HELP? I have never split the cases before and I dont want to fuck this up. please help. PICTURES of what your sayin will HELP LOADS!!
