  1. like the pistons...
  2. also iam not sold on which reeds i want. these are reccomended reeds toomey gives for there jeting specs *Standard or Boyesen Reeds on the stock reed block, *Boyesen RAD-Valves or V-Force Delta WHICH ONES ARE A BETTER OVERALL REED THAT WILL WORK WITH THE +4 TIMING PLATE?
  3. This sound solid? T-6 pipes Chariot Timing plate +4 Chariot Cool Head 21cc domes V-force delta reeds jetting at toomeys specs: 1. Needle on the 4th groove 2. #280 Main jet (sea level, #270 for hot days or high altitude <2500') 3. Float setting = 21mm 4. Airscrew at approx. 1.5 turns out from full in. (Effective range .5 to 2.5) 5. Standard pilot jet (#25) Remember iam looking for overall power... setting it up for fast fire roads/dirt roads log roads some trails... The vforce reeds are for mid/top and the timing plate adds bottom right? Will that work together nicely or will it run like shit?
  4. nice anbody else? 21 or 20 cc domes?
  5. thats sick...nice place dude.. Ubuntu is awsome huh? i said screw using it cause i couldent get a fing printer to work..ne ways thats funny...
  6. Nice... and I was half gone when I posted this...Captians and Coke lmao!! Elka shee: maybe the word "pondering" is just to big a word for you? "Pondering" is a synonym for "thinking". FYI
  7. cool so for dirtroads and fast fire/log roads a timing plate is probably a bad idea? Stock dome size is 22 thought i should get a 21 or 20? anybody else have a opinion on if jetting will be effected by adding a coolhead/timing plate?
  8. sweet..will the timing plate/cool heads add more low end power or what? Also will adding them effect jetting? thanks dude!
  9. lol i kno I HAVE DECIDED ON t-6's over the sst's purley because toomey tells me how to jet it. IVE NEVER jetted a bike so this is REALLY APPEALING to me. now all i need answered are these questions:What reeds are the best for them?, should i use a timing plate? and should i install a cool head w smaller domes? Also does the bare/plain finish rust easily? PLEASE OPINIONS?? ILL NEVER POST AGAIN ABOUT THESE DAMN EXHAUSTS!!!!
  10. so i was pondering getting a tat of my shee or something of the sort. thought it would be sick. any body got one? ideas? lol LOVE MY BANSHEE!!! its why i live lmao...no seriously...
  11. LMAO i figured alot of ppl would say v-force. they will not affect the jetting specs they give you will they? thanks bud:)
  12. Hey guys... i made a post about the FMF sst pipes.... well after doing more research iam convinced the t-6 are the right pipes for me. I now have three last and final questions. What reeds are the best for them?, should i use a timing plate? and should i install a cool head w smaller domes? Also does the bare/plain finish rust easily? thanks guys!
  13. dude thanks for the awsome response. Ive decided iam going to set my 05 up for fast fire roads. Iam gettin rid of my KX250 and getting another shee. iam going to set it up exactly as u stated. U mentioned saving the head. could i just buy a cool head w domes? if so what size? Timing plate? thaxs and i feel like i owe you lol
  14. after looking at the SST's i re-looked at the t-6. Ive been told there a good overall pipe and they give me jetting specs. seems like there easier to tune. do i want the chrome or the unpinted/bare. will the bare rust? also i have a set of dual stage boesen reeds will they still work with the t-6? Timing plate? Should i put a cool head on it? thinking of 21cc domes?? Sorry for being indescisive. I just want to be happy with the outcome with my build.
  15. Well as it is now it has NO bottom end...like i originally said i want power every where. I figured the timing plate (which i just received from chariot...AWSOME!) would even out the bottom with the mid and top. if i sacrifice a small amount of top to have more bottom thats fine with me. Is my logic correct? also anybody have more opinions on jetting? thanks guys
  16. i dt wanna sound like an ass but isnt it the point of buying an adjustable timing plate so... you canadjust it lol? if i dont like it i can always change it back.
  17. thanks for input. think im going to get the sst's.
  18. iam well... not rich..i work at walmart to support my banshee lmao. I cant very well go buy a set of t6's then go buy a set of sst's and compare them. Thats just ridiculous. I already have silencers for the sst's. I orginally looked at the t6's but iam not a fan of punching holes in the bottom of my air box for those vents and removing my coolant reservoir. Being able to look at my coolant resiviore quickly to check the level seems important to me. idk input?
  19. what would you reccomend being at a higher elevation???
  20. yhea running stock pipes. this sounds to be what iam looking for... what jetting are you running in ur gf bike? iam at a 1000 ft.
  21. yhea i understand that there not going to be the best at every one thing...iam looking for a blend of increases if that makes sence. SOunds to me from the prompt responses (which I REALLY APPRECIATE) the ssts are what i want. Ive ordered a timing plate from chariot i was planing on setting that at +4 and i got boesen power reeds and i was planning on getting some noss cool heads 21cc domes for pump gas DOES THIS STILL SOUND GOOD? thanks guys
  22. Ok so heres my issue i purchased a set of gnarlys. there sitting in my room still in the box lol. i was going to set it up for low/mid but as my buddy pointed out... iam only in tight wood probrably 30% of the time and the rest is all wide open fire acess roads and old logging roads. Tight woods riding is my favorite but theres not much here where i live so.... now iam thinknig of getting something thats going to give an overall power increase. When i purchased the gnarlys the assholes sent me powercore 2 sst siliencers...still sitting in the box. so iam thinking that depending on the answers i get here i may put the gnarlys on ebay and get a set of SST pipes... maybe them sending sst silencers was a sign from the banshee gods? lmao. I want something that will giv me a power increase in the woods and down those fire roads at WOT. BTW i am already patial to FMF
  23. What is the best overall pipe. What i mean by overall is overall powergains. A pipe that doset give here but take there. my research has shown the FMF sst to be the best. input? o and will the boysen dual stage reeds be a good compliment to the sst's? http://www.atvsource.com/articles/product_reviews/2001/011701_sst_pipes.htm http://www.atvsource.com/images/article_images/product_reviews/2001/ssi_pipe/fmf_dyno.jpg
  24. i looked at the pinned thread on how to do the YFZ swap but (and no offense to anybody) it will take a cold day in hell before i EVER start hacking up anything on my shee. Iknow a-arms are no big deal but im not going to hack on the top shock mount thats welded to my frame. my banshees brand new. im good. What elka/works would you guys recommend FOR WOODS/FAST FIRE ROADS. I dont do sand!!! thanks
  25. http://www.albaaction.com/productdetail.htm?productId=9972167&browse=252101&shopBy=11963&catalogId=1902 I found these on albas site. are they any good? I am setting my shee up for woods what would be a good setup? Wider a-arms? i dont want to put 2K in suspension... I just want something thats better in the rough stuff. Idc if there not adjustable in every way you can think of. Just a good upgrade from stock. appreciate any input!
