Ban, it does get looks....allot. People turn around on the trail to chase me down and ask about it. At road crossings people stop their trucks and ask about it. Is that a raptor with a Banshee motor? What year is that, I don't remember Banshee's looking like that? It does confuse allot of people at first glance. Different is good. Where I ride there are also a boatload of Banshees and this one definitely stands out. The Quadzilla.....Most riders today are too young to know what that machine is.

98, it's not hard to do at all. Keep in mind this raptor style plastic is made by Maier specifically for the banshee so it's a direct bolt on. One nice thing about it is that the radiator cap is not easily accessable from the top.

Hey Kaos, Thanks for the welcome and the kind words. First and foremost, we are all riders, who, secondly, love to ride Banshee's. What it looks like, how it's set up to run is all our individual and personal preference. I can agree to disagree with you yet I'll still ride with you and I may even learn something. Doesn't matter what it looks like, how it runs, or how much it cost, cause in the end, we love to ride and we love to ride Banshees..!!

Thanks for the post Jetmech. I thought long and hard about buying that plastic too. I hadn't seen any Banshees with it where we ride and didn't want any color other than black. I was on e-bay the right time when it came up. It was 4 months old when I got it and paid 172.00 plus shipping for it. The graphics kit was a spare DMP set that I cut and placed myself. Good luck finding a set you like.

Hey Trick, ya know, I'm not sure why Banshee's have such a bad rap as woods and trails machines. Where we ride there are a ton of Banshees. Some idle and work in the woods but most don't. I don't know what people are doing to their machines as far as mods go that are making them so difficult to lug around the trails when needed. I have yet to feather my clutch in the woods, even on tight trails and she'll idle all day long. I've had the same plugs in the machine for almost three years too. And I do love roosting them....!!! As for handling and performance, there isn't a whole lot. Works shocks w/dual springs and piggybacks, custom made a-arm bushings, Ohlins rear shock, V-Force III reeds, boost bottle, Noss head and domes, GTYR ignition box (really livened it up allot) hotter coils, K&N filter, custom tweaked air box and pro design intake, slightly modded carbs (by me) w/tors removed w/idle kit, FMF pipes and silencers, large aluminum rad, billet impeller, jetted 270 mains and 30 pilots, hinson basket and clutch kit w/straight cut gears, steering stabilizer, dual row carrier. No internal engine mods at all.

Hey Meat, Tom at Gap Racing RULES......!!! I ride Shamokin/Trevorton/Ashland/Frackville/Locust Gap just about every Saturday. We usually park in Locustdale and ride from there or in Shamokin, on top of 125 at the power lines. A few years ago I met some of the locals on a Pa Atv forum. They invited my G/F and I up to ride (since it had been about 20 years since I've been up that way) and became real good friends with them. Since then we got RAC permits, just to be safer, also. I ride with a guy named Al Ludy and Roy Kerner.....another banshee freak and one helluva climber. My G/F and I are from the Lancaster area. Keep an eye out for me on the trails....with a shee that looks like mine, you won't miss me...!!

Hey Washburn, I bought mine for the same reason.....sick performance. Also to keep my 89 250R Four Trax Company in the garage. (she's all stock with the original spark plug). With the exception of my 85 200X, which I bought new in 85 and still have, I've never ridden 4 strokes. All my race bikes and trail bikes have been two strokes.....from my Maico's, Montessa's and Pentons to my CR's. I don't see myself riding a 4 stroke in the near future either. I'm currently working on putting a CR 500 Motor in an 89 250R frame. It's rare that my machine is mistaken for anything but a Banshee. It does, however, get long stares and heads turn to see what just blew past them..hehehe.

This forum is amazing. So much friggin info. I'll let you know about the rear plastics. Was going to let them go as a set but I might part it out. If I do, I'll sell it cheap. The oversize shipping may be a real ball breaker though.

Letha, No need to apologize for stepping on the thread man. One response leads to another and another etc. It's nice to see others riders machines. Hell, it's nice to see people responding. I hate posting on some forums as a newbie where you're made to feel like an outcast. You post your thread, notice that many have read it but no one replied. I'm not about working that hard to share my passions with others.

Climb, had I come across a set of full bores, I would have picked them up. When I saw these on E-bay, in near new condition for the silly cheap price I got them for, I couldn't pass them up. I am selling my black set of stock plastics with the same graphics kit on it.

Daj, Thanks for the welcome and the reply.

Letha, that is a SWEET looking machine. The blue and yellow looks GREAT......!!! Almost near identical to my REV snowmobile colors..!!

Hey MJ, No need to say "sorry". We all have our own opinions and I'm not going to flame someone for that nor am I going to try to shove mine down anothers throat. What it boils down too is that we ALL ride Banshees and they will have to pry them from our cold dead fingers to get us off them. Thanks.

Hey Letha, I know what you mean about the 6 inch gap. While it does make cleaning easier, it is still a big hole. I've been mocking up some air scoops to pick up more air around the rad that will fill that hole. Like you said, if you like your bumper, that all that matters.

Hey 2003Banshee21, The graphics kit is made by DMP. I got it brand new, on e-bay, with the seat cover for 69.00 shipped. The website, I belive is dmpcovers.com. This is the 2005 design. I do not know if it changed since then. Personally, I think it's one of the best looking designs for the banshee and looks great on stock plastic.

Hey Shee Rips, the lights are my next change. My bro has a lathe in his basement and has access to a wet jet so I can make just about anything fit.

Thanks for the comments guys. I've seen some ugly ones too. I like the openness and frame exposure because it's so easy to clean......which is every weekend and lots of mud. I've ridden raptors....don't like em. I do like the way they look though. And for the 175.00 that I paid for this plastic, I couldn't pass it up. No offense taken. I like angles and points. Stock banshee plastic bores me.

Hi all, I've read previous posts about the feelings of many here regarding Raptor style plastic on the Banshee. For the most part, many don't like it. As a matter of fact, many riders I run into on the trails have felt that way.....until they saw mine. The Black is definitely the way to go...but you MUST have a kewl graphics kit to go with it. I get nothing but compliments about how bad a@# it looks. Not to mention how well it runs. Just last week a few of the guys I was riding with asked my how I had it setup. I asked them why.....they said "every banshee rider we ride with has to feather the clutch in the wood...but you don't. It doesn't bog on the bottom, even when crawling and when you stab it, the power is instant on. Your banshee is the only one we know of that runs that well in the woods." I've decided to post a few pics to see what ya'll think. If you don't like it, I respect that and will not flame anyone who feels that way. PS...This forum ROCKS......!! More info than I've seen ANYWHERE...!! Thanks to one and all who provide their tips and tricks to making a sick machine even SICKER.....!!!!
