  2. Selling these carbs Ive got not in use. Could use a little cleaning, but are fully functional. had these on my old rz391 motor. I have the k&n knockoff pods to match and twist throttle if you want it. $100 for carbs. $125 with everything. +15 if need shipped. Located in Margate FL.

  3. the 421 will be torquier with more low and mid range. i dont know if it would be worth the swap, peak hp would feel similar. the serval can be ported for more power, where the dune port stock cylinder is at its max, with decent bottom and mid.

     

    id only get the serval, if you plan on wanting more power later.

     

    Ive been out of the loop for a while.... what in the hell is a serval?

  4. I am testing the electrial pcs. and the coil seems to be bad. I check the - side to the plug caps and got nothing, then took the caps off and checked again and got nothing,then took the wires out of the coil and tested again nothing.

    checked the wires themselfs and got .1 ohms

    checked the caps and got 5450 on one and 5800 on the other.

     

    my problem is it runs great but when I come to a hill it bogs could it still run with the coil like this or am I checking it wrong.

    on a hill sounds more like a float problem.

  5. no lids off and holes cut in it. the only reason im usen the box is because two years ago i hade pods and one fell off at the dunes and the paddles shot it in the motor banghead so untill i fab a bracket for the pods i will just leave the box on

     

    Id start with 27.5/350 jets and do a chop. Ive had these same tm carbs, and unlike the smaller 28mm ones, these seem to love them some gas. Did they come with needles?

    I ran these with the rockets savage420 now has, and mikuni 34mm tm flatslides. in the videos was with the same but 28mm. The power shines all over with these which is why I got them. alot of bottom, but once the powervalves open up at higher rpms, you have all the mid and top as well. There isnt really a hard powerband snap where its hardly anything and then snap on the pipe, its on it, and then still on it. Im not sure if CPI will clear the pv. Rockets and PTs are the only ones I know of for sure, and pt mids are to much choke for this setup. But I have heard of people making pipes fit with shimming thata wouldnt normally.

I recently picked up a 89 250r which is becoming a money pit, it has a keihin carb on it but i could use some help to know the size, i'm pretty sure it's a airstriker,, the numbers on the side are PWK 00AAMG the second A has a box around it. Another question i have is, i got a cylinder off ebay thats ported by LRD and the piston that came with it is a pro-x with a 2.25 stamped on it, my question is how far can you bore a stock 250r cylinder? and will i need to rejet for the swap from a stock port, stock bore cylinder? i never owned a 250r so i'm new, i know it's not a banshee but it's still a really nice 2 stroker

     

    for the carb size, measure the bore width on the intake side (facing reed cage, not bell end) then convert to millimeters. as far as max bore, that might be a better question for everything 2 stroke, or ask an engine builder. they say you can take a banshee cyl up to .10 over stock, but i guess it depends on the sleeve.
