  1. From what I experienced its really about the tempature. In the spring and summer from sitting for a while it starts 1-2 kicks. In the winter even with rejeting for the cold it still takes 3-4 kicks to start. Once warmed up it will start on the first kick.

Its plain and simple 2 stokes don't like cold weather.

  2. im from riverhead. theres a place called levlons out in jamesport/mattituck area that used to be the spot to go. its on the beach and its like riding at dunes. big ass hill climbs and stuff. then the d.e.c and park police starting patrolling and before i knew it, the spot was blown. i didnt get to ride it but saw vids from it and it looked ill. if there was a place i could park, id risk it and hit it during a weekday but i drove out and couldnt find anywhere safe to park. supposidly theres a set of trails that run alongside the l.i.e. from 71 to god knows where, but again, theres no way i can get to them without road ridin pretty far. i wish i had a street legal dirtbike so i could check out all the spots by the street. east coast mines is also supposidly a pretty good spot to ride too but a group of guys i know went out there a few weekends ago and got chased out in 20 minutes.

ill be at 56 tommorow hoping to get there by 10:30-10:45 and ride for alittle bit.

That spot in mattituck sounds sick but your right unless you park at someones house nearby than your taking a big risk of being chased, getting tickets.

I heard of the place out by exit 71, I thinks that out by Calverton and I heard it goes all the way out east and even to the north shore. But your gona get chased by the DEC or some other chipmunk police because it state land and the pine barrens. You should read last weeks NEWSDAY, i think it was tuesday paper that had the front page on the "LI ATV problems". People complaining about land being destroyed, noise polution, Also " THEY SCARE ANIMALS AWAY ", thats the best one I've heard.

If fckin sucks that I have to trailer my shit 4-6 hrs in any of the tri state area and be able to ride without being chased, getting tickets, and or impounded. Like i said before if any1 knows of any good spots that aren't blown up I'm down for riding.

  3. yeah i hear you man, ive seen a ton of spots that look like good riding but i dont want to risk getting my shit impounded. thats why im trying to find someone to ride with that knows the spot well. theres a few spots out east here that i've heard are pretty ill but like i said, i cant risk getting my shit impounded unless im with someone that knows the area.

does anyone know if 56 is rideable on saturdays or is it just sunday only? im trying to find somewhere to ride tommorow.

Yea saturdays are fine, I've even ridin there at night. The owner of the property doesn't care if people ride there. And if the cops do come, usally from people riding on the streets they just tell you to leave. been there a million times your shit will never get impounded, What town do live in, any other good spot you know of ?

  4. I go to 56 sometimes on sudays wit some people we usally park in the parking lot where everyone stunts, but always lookin for a new riding spot. I heard out by you there is some sick riding spots. I've been to a place out there that was pretty good. Its one exit passed willam floyd prkwy of the expressway then you head south once you hit the woods there is a turn around then there is a dirt rode going into the woods. I've been four wheeling at night there but never brang the quad bec. I dnt want to get my shit impounded, not sure if its safe. I thinks this spot is out where you live.

  5. Well, I am getting the crap shocked out of me on both cyclinders now and it still will not run. It tries to start but dose not and after 10 to 15 kicks it'll just backfire like a cannon. Sometimes when kicking it it'll fire for like one rotation and qiut. But not to where I'd say it ran or even started.

    - That right there sounds like it flooded out. try WOT while kicking, thats looks like it is the problem or at least part of it.

  6. I've got the pt mids and love them. From what I've ridden I feel they are the best for trails and play riding ( riding in gears 1-4). They have power down low and a fat midrange and nice topend. I would def. get these over the T-5's because they have more usable power for trails, t5's are a good for topend , like open area or fast wide open trails. There smaller than a regular t5 or fatty pipe and they have a unique look of thier own.

Also the pt mids have a nice sound and are not loud unlike the toomey's. which is a must have with people calling the cops because of the noise.

  7. I have the same problem with the AC front bumper it only mounts up with three bolts can't get all four in no matter what way i try it.

I was gona get the rear grab bar , mounting points not lining up on the grab bar too.....fck that noise

Its a shame because they make good looking products but they don't mount up, i guess you can't have both of best worlds.

  8. Just wana give a bump for ya........ bec. I'm about to sell my white 06' in a month or two, I also wana get 5500 or close to it.

By the way what kind of filters are those , never seen them that small. I like to get a set for myself.

Thanks and Good luck on the sale.

  9. I recently got pt mids and you might have the same problem as me. The pipes mount up fine but there was a problem when mounting the silencers. Other silencers I've seen usally just have to mounting points on the rear of the silencer but the pt silencers have an another mounting point by where the silencer meets the pipe and I could not bolt up that piont. So I just bolted up the two rear silencer bolts on both sides and seems to be holding up fine.

  10. I have my banshee in a storage unit. And I going to putting another quad in thier and I want to know if its all right to leave the banshee standing on the rear wheels and grab bar for weeks at a time. I just don't want to store it like that then when I go to ride the floats get stuck or any other problems, and yes the gas would be turned off and try to keep the fuel level in the tank as low as possible when storing.

    Thanks.

  11. I do alot of trail riding and I just put on a set of pt mids and i love them. I like riding them better than the t5's but some people will disagree. I would def. buy them.

The stock pipes suck for lowend so I would def. upgrade up first to the pt mids, Second fmf gnarlys or sst's, then I would get the t5's as far as trail riding. The best way would be if you have a friend with any of these pipes, ride it and see how you like them.

  12. Ive seen them they look nice with the black rims. How thay have them on ebay

Thats exactly why I made this post. They have them on ebay all four on black rims for $400.

I guess they are good but not that many people run them, probrably bec. they are kinda new.

  13. What your are describing is totaly normal. 2 and 4 strokes alike , As long as it performes good after you have warmed it up you probrably don't have a problem. The reason it does that because you are putting load on the engine which makes it hesitate from a cold start.

  14. I've been to PARAGON, and I am going back in two weeks. Its located in Hazelton. I like going there, lots of trails but there is rocks everywhere and thats why some people don't like it but its def. worth a visit.

There is also a place call Rausch creek and they have trails and mx/ hair scramble tracks. Havent been there yet but heard good about it and its somewhere nearby paragon.

  15. You should try repacking your silencers, that should help the noise if they need repacking. The expensive route would be to get new or used silencers, If your are running fmf's They make the turbines and the " Q's " which are both supposed to quiet up the exhaust. I'm sure someone on this site or ebay got a set they will sell for a couple dollars.
