from what i was told, the blades are ~180ft across, the tower itself is ~290ft tall, and with rotors they are close to 380ft tall i'm not sure of power output but i think they are subtransmission under 140Kv i'm just out there installing fiber optic cable from tower to tower. tomorrow, i should have some pics standing directly underneath them. wicked looking up at'em

one crane had got onto soft ground and weight shifted, folded the boom. no pics of it tho crane setting the rotors rotor assembled and on the ground, check out the tiny little pickup next to it rotors arriving at the jobsite the center piece to the rotors what it looks like with out the rotor installed yet

lol, easy with the tools there! yeah, you cranked down on them pretty good! i imagine you would be OK like that. just not how i did it.
-
awesome man! i am very happy that you are very happy!! i would really really like to see pics of your Banshee with this setup next to your YFZ! as well as some pics of the jump you hit!

not the bushing and the frame mount, but between the steel sleeve insert (what the bolt goes thru) and the frame mount. there should be about a 16th of an inch gap there. unless you are really cranking down on the bolt lol. you can see where the washer is in this picture http://i14.tinypic.com/437zwh2.jpg it should be like that on all mounts, unless like i said, you are really cranking down and bending in the frame mount tabs. i can clearly see the gap that i am talking about (where the washer is in the above pic of mine) in the pictures you posted on page 9. the washer hole should only be big enuf for the bolt to fit thru, not large enuf too slide over the steel sleeve.

do us all a favor and try some smaller jumps 1st lol

what do you think about the height?

you can use dustcaps. it just requires a tad bit more material removed on the a-arm or trimming just a little bit of the dust cap so it fits around the welds on the arms. and for the inside cap, it requires the hole in the dust cap be opened up just a little bit so it will fit over the steel sleeve and slid all the way to the bushing. the spacers i will get made will take up all the remaining open area! also, either a washer or dust cap is needed where there is a tiny gap between the steel sleeve and the frame mount, so there is no play there! i think a few pages back there are pictures from a guy who used dustcaps, he trimmed the dustcap a little bit to fit around the welds. looks good man! wait til you ride it, be a whole new bike!

great news man! i havent yet had a chance to take mine too a riding spot. only been able too ride ditches as of late. would you get some pictures of your setup as well as maybe 1 or 2 next to your YFZ? that would be great for this thread!

nope, stockers are too short. i would just order a custom pair from NOSS machine, he said he could do any length for $39.99 out of (i think it was T6) aluminum. 13-13.5" would work nicely. the stock YFZ tie rods will work but dont thread on as far as stock stuff does. stock yfz tie rod is 12-3/8". when you order some, get about ~13-1/4" for a Banshee

i've been looking at buying a pair of these for when i go to Badlands in IN. thinking about a pair of 20-11-9, with 7 or 8 paddles. the reason i have been looking at these over other paddles is they seem too be a beefier design. they look like they could take the abuse of riding thru a half gravel half pavement parking lot better then other paddle designs. does anyone use these? what is your opinion on them? i ride knobbies now over there, but would love to try a set of paddles out, to get the full affect in the sand! but dont want to break the paddles off on my way into and out of the sand.

'smkmupbanshee' aka: Steve of GBRacing out of Michigan bought 2 pairs of pegs off him so i can make one wide pair. they were shipped quickly. it was packaged up securely. and had good contact with him as well. i would buy from him again and recommend him as a seller too anyone thanks again Steve  Steve

your mods, stick with stock swinger IMO. maybe try different sprocket sizes for acceleration purposes. get a plus +2-+4 adjustable axle and some +2-+1 a-arms. it will feel like a whole new animal then!
-
how do those do on mix terrain? and can you get them in 20"? i'm looking for something that will be OK going from a parking lot into sand/gravel type terrain at Badlands. the other paddles i have been looking at are Skat-Trak Desert Storm. but they are expensive

stock cylinders, how much shipped to 62703? send me pics also please i will take them if the pending deal falls thru. -
 i'm just gonna have a shop cut up a long tube of aluminum in 3/8"-7/16" sections for the spacers. should have quite a few when done. they might need a little trimming to fit but should be close from the get go. this way, the dust caps can be used over the bushings and then the spacers can go on the outside of them.
-
 when i finally get some time off from work (no idea when it will be lol), i'm going to have the spacers made too fill in at the lower a-arms. i will send you the 4 that you will need. print out the pictures also, they will help tremendously

stock brake lines, plenty of slack too play with. (writeup on the 1st page lays it all out for you!) LT shocks will get your ride clearance back for sure. i hope you do try this, as you are one of the more extreme jumpers i have seen using a Banshee. it would be a perfect test bed. it would be ideal if you held onto the stock YFZ shocks and jumped with those and gave us feedback. then switched to LT shocks and did the same jump and gave us more feedback! if i thought it was worth it, i would already have YFZ LT shocks on mine but i'm not spending that kind of coin. twas the whole point behind me doing this! keep us updated!

some of those questions have been answered a couple pages back in this topic.

i've only had mine up about 5ft. i dont MX or hit triples like you do lol but i havent had too replace any divets yet. i also weigh in at 210-215lbs! my shocks are still factory valving stock! the bike definately sits lower then with YFZ shocks and stock a-arms. and probably only a tad lower then with stock shocks and arms. the top of my gas tank has a very slight, read hardly noticeable upward slope, if that helps you picture it at all. some YFZ long travel shocks in the ~17-18" length would give you all the ride height you need. and you would still come out way ahead as far as money goes (used YFZ LT shocks go for around $600-$750). you are more then welcome too try mine on one of your triples
