  1. ok! im gonna try next time to adjust them when the bike is warm.

dont wanna start another thread so heres another question for you guys!

what gearing should i run? I plan on ordering 9inch bajas with a 19inch MXR4 (as well for the fronts 19inch MXR4) do you think black bajas with sandblasted reinforcement rings would look good?

also, I wanna thank you guys for the helpful posts!

  2. alright, i have a few more questions. when i start the bike, its runs at a stable RPM, we adjusted our idle screws without the choke pulled and when the engine was cold. as i said, its stable till the bike gets a little warm. once its enought warm to ride it, it wants to die on me if I do not give gas, Should I adjust the idle screws when the bike is ready to ride (warm enought) ?? my air screws are turned all the way in, with 1 1/2 counterclockwise.

  3. my banshee runs great but i have minor problems...

the bike does not even need choke to start.

when the engine is still cold it runs great... its stays at

a stable RPM but once its warmed up... it dies if i do not rev it up.

when im rolling down the street, i pull the clutch and let off the gas, IT DIES by itself. and when its warm its hard to start it. Ive read the jetting FAQ,

but i dont understand some facts... its says if the bugg is in the lower RPMs, you should **** with the pilot jet and air screw... but with a idle kit, are the air screws important? if i have to change my pilot, what sould i go for? a bigger or a smaller one?

    Thanks...!

  4. i had fatties before and T5 rocks... fatties have a smoother powerband but toomeys pull way harder! and damn.. i like that sound, they have a throtty sound in the lower rpms and they scream in the upper rpms. heres my question, i didnt change jets when i put the T5, still 260, stock needle clip postiton, stock needle jet. should I change needle clip position one clip higher? it will lean the mixture? cuz right now it seems to bugg in the lower rpms but when i wide open the damn thing its okey...

  5. why? because im used to do wheelies on a bicycle... when my balance point is too high, i hit the rear brakes. im afraid to balance my banshee cuz im not used with the rear brakes... another question. what do i need to make my lines longer? and how much would it cost?

sorry for my poor english... hope u all understand.

  6. a longer swingarm helps the frontend to stay on the grounds...it creates a loose traction so the tire spin more but... your cornering abilitys will drop a lil bit. by shortening the swingarm, the weight is concentred on the rear so you get a better traction. and your cornering abilitys will increase because of the wheel base. = wheelies !!! its easier to wheelie with a negative swingarm. it stand up real quick.

  7. 260's are way small. I run 320's at sea level with air box, lid removed. Jet up.

320 is wayyy too rich... i still have my air box, with the lid removed and my plugs are brown. a little bit on the rich side. im gonna adjust my air screws... cuz it idles veryyy low. and ill do a plug chop.

Now I never like to recommend moving the clips from the middle notch, which is the stock position. The needles control the largest part of the powercurve, they control jetting from aproxx 1\4 throttle to 3\4 throttle and moving the clip up or down on the needle represents a big shift in the overal jetting, moving the clip will effect your final main jet size too. With the mods you have,I'd be keeping the needle in the stock notch. The needle clips move the jetting so much that aftermarket needles come with clips and little washers so you adjust the clips in half notches instead of moving them full notches. Be forwarned if you move the clips to the 4th notch, you'll have to re-dial in the mains and re-adjust your idle screws and should prolly swap out your pilots too.

Do you live\ride at any extreme altitudes ?

thanks for the info MEAT  really helpful. i live at 700feet by the way.

Huhh... im sorry, posted on the wrong section :( ill never do that again, promised

  8. i just received my toomey T5... they are awsome!! way better than fatties. the kit include the perfect jetting shit. they say to put in the needle at the fourth clip. i already have 260 main in so its ok. my question is, what does the needle do to my jetting? right now, just with the 260 jet it runs great... idle very low but does not die.

    THX

  9. i know eric gorr porting kick ass... hes famous around here :P I have someone who can do the porting, he did one on his skidoo (500cc polaris) and it ripss !! he just need a template.
