  1. DG Fat Series
  2. Hey everybody! Recently I went for a trail ride and came across a beaver dam. The water came up to my seat and the Banshee almost stalled until I down shifted, and luckily regained speed, and got out. Is there any way I could have damaged the motor somehow? It seems to be running fine other than running a little too rich with oil right now. THanks!
  3. The DS 650 is another heavy piece of shit. These reviews are unbelievable... Next year my Banshee is getting DMC Alien pipes, and either Elka or Works suspension.
  4. What a crock of shit! I hate the Polaris Predator! Polaris has no place in ATV off road as far as I'm concerned. I hate that Banshee plastic on the mag cover too. The Banshee is #1 period! Whatever the terrain.
  5. I have a helmet by CKX... Kimpex distributes them. Very nice helmet for $90. The visor is killer and the padding can be removed to wash. CKX- VX-7
  6. I switched to KLOTZ Super Techniplate... 32:1
  7. Well I finally decided on a new oil... Klotz Super Techniplate. I called Klotz and they told me to run 32:1. I still have 2 pints of Yamalube to finish though. Will this help my engine last longer?
  8. THe 2004 Tech 6's RULE! A great investment... Just need to get used to shifting.
  9. THe mechanic at my local Yamaha dealer told me 16oz. to 3 gallons and no less. What do you guys suggest for a stock Shee? I just want to take real good care of this investment. Also, are Boost Bottles (FMF, White Bros.) worth the $$$? Does it make a noticable difference? Do any mods need to be made after installing?
  10. The manual says 24:1
  11. Get rid of those ugly cheap handlebars!!!!!!!!!!! I just got some pro-tapers and man, what a difference!
  12. I thought the ratio was 24:1 on a Banshee... All these other ratios can't be good for the engine. I use 16oz. of oil per 3 gallons of premium.
  13. Right now I use Yamalube, but am thinking of switching to either Maxima 927 or Maxima Super M. Any suggestions? Also, what are good handguards to get. I'm looking at Acerbis. Do I need special attachments for my pro-taper bars?
  14. I have the same problem! I am mis-shifting. Should I adjust my shifter up a few notches?
  15. I don't like the 2005 LE Banshee. Those graphics look so 80s (80s music still rules however). As far as LE Banshees, the 2004 all black LE is the one that will be remembered. Especially if you see it in person. Sharp looking bike. But really, Yamaha could have done better than that for the 2005 LE.
  16. Where can I find plastic light covers for my stock banshee lights? Not the eye-ball ones. I know Yamaha sells some but not sure if they fit the stock light.
  17. How is the protection?
  18. Do you people wear mx boots? I just ordered a pair of 2004 Alpinestars Tech 6. Alpinestars seems to be the most respected brand as far as boots.
  19. I just recieved my THOR Aftershock protector and it is very comfortable.
  20. I just ordered some Protaper Bars for my Banshee along with a mounting kit. Does anyone have these bars? How do they fit over the ignition? www.motosportsoutlet.com seemed to think they'd fit, along with the square pad. They have the best price for the whole kit... $130.00
  21. I just ordered the DG Fat series "Full Chassis" skid and the "rear swing arm" skid. Should be bomb proof! Hey, gotta protect the investment! Thanks for everyone's input.
  22. Hey, I had posted a thread awhile back on what to use to clean the air filter. Someone had recommended kerosine (local dealer) But what about the PJ1 or K and N filter cleaners? It seems easy, just spray and rinse. Also, what about that Toomey "2 in 1" kit that replaces the stock air box and connects to the stock carbs? Seems to me the air box would do a better job keeping dust and dirt out. I'm not really into making my Banshee go faster, its definetly kicking my ass enough as it is. Maybe next year heh heh! Any of you put skid plates? I'm a little concerned especially with the sprocket. My Banshee has been hoisted on a few rocks. There is some protection, I'm just not sure its enough. Your responses are appreciated! Bruce
  23. I think the '04 limited is sweet! I'm all set with the chrome wheels . Up close it looks even better than the pictures. The carbon Fiber graphic is killer. Why would anyone want real carbon fiber on their bike? Mountain bike maybe...
  24. Yes, I'm talking about the stock filter... Where do you put your gas-can? I'll wait till the stock filter wears out and then I'll upgrade. What filter do you recommend and how much do they go for? Also, is it best to use SUPER unleaded as opposed to regular? Thanks for answering my questions guys... My last 4-wheeler was an '88 Warrior. Two very different machines.
  25. Thanks! Now where do you put your oil while you are riding?
