  1. Wow, you are on a mountain top! Lol. I am going to guess you mean 1500? Either way, plenty more info would be needed to truely give you a good idea on jetting, but I would be willing to bet somewhere around a 260-270 on the mains and 30 on the pilots will get you closer.
  2. It did actually. It wouldn't need that kind of power to make it move though. A large twin would suit it just fine.
  3. Still have this if anyone is looking?
  4. That is one of our axles we used to make. It does not have a center bearing carrier, it has outboard bearings. It is a very strong set-up. We quit making them only because each one was made manually and not by CNC. So, having 16-20 hours building an axle really didn't add up. This bike used to be a 4/4 bolt pattern and we swapped it over to 4/115 last year and realized how much we loved making those type of parts! Lol
  5. Thanks guys, it is a great bike for the price. I would def kick around trades, send me a PM if you have anything.
  6. I have a really nice stock cylinder chassis bike up for sale. Very good running motor. It ran only a few times in the 2010 season with a 240 lb rider and ran a best of 4.20. Never ran long enough to have a change of gearing nor to start closing down the powerjets. Could definitely run low 4s or high 3s with a little tune time and a lighter rider. Bike is turn key and a killer deal. * 4mm Hot Rods Crank * Stock Cylinders Ported By PPS * 38mm Alky Mikunis * Chrome CPI's * Direct Drive Lock-out & Cover * 2-5 N Down Tranny * JHC(PPS) Outboard Bearing Chassis * Lots Of Polised/Powdercoated/Chromed Items * Skat Trak Haulers - 12 Paddle * HS Front Plastic * Wheelie Bar (Not Shown) $4900 obo - Possible trades

  8. Sounds like a alot of fun, we will definitely be down to hang out with you guys. As far as Leerjack Offroad Park goes, we have been to most tracks across the US and Leerjack is hands down the best facility we have been to. Both for racing and for just overall riding. Full hook-up camping, shower house, drag stip, play drag strip, MX track, mud bogs, hill climbs, trails, swimming, kids play area and they built a full blown gas station on the premises where they sell everything from atv parts to grandmas home cooked meals. I know I sound like a cheerleader, but this place really is top notch. It is about 45 minutes south of St Joe State Park. If you have not been, you need to go! Best bet is to hit one of their drag race weekends this year, I believe there will only be 2. Also, Big River Sand Drags is only 10 miles from St Joe State Park. They have not released their calendar just yet, so not sure if they will be holding a race that weekend or not. If they do, and you like drag racing, their surface is second to none.

  10. Not only did you tell us that it was an 11 plate in the parking lot when we asked about it having such a small clutch cover, but I will go ahead and show everyone here that you are lieing about never saying it was an 11 plate...here is the exact PMs I received. You might want to make sure you tell the truth Dave. PrecisionPowerSports wrote: "Who assembled this motor? Did it come to you fully assembled? Just curious." Tripledsracing wrote: "yea justin had fast freddie to do everything on it and we installed it and the only thing i done was took the clutch cover off and sealed the keyway...is it a 11 plate" PrecisionPowerSports wrote: "Just took the clutch apart, it is a 9 plate NMotion clutch set-up and not an 11 plate." Tripledsracing wrote: "my god!..u gotta be kiddin me if you want il pm justin and ask him about all of this and see what he says?..but when i took the clutch off i would have swore it had at least 10-11 plates on it which when i bought the motor he told me 11 plate in his add..does n-motion make a 11 plate clutch?." Dave, you need to make good on the money/plastic for the crank end and tranny shaft...you said yourself this is something you are going to do. That is money for things that need to be fixed to get this bike going one way or the other whether you like me or not.
  11. Honestly chalk it up to putting far too much trust in others. My mechanic/fabricator was with me, I build the motors here as well. He nor I was there to tear this thing apart, had we thought there was a reason to worry about it we would have hawked it. Dave is all over every website out there, I had not reason to assume it wouldn't be a DM. We looked, it had a motor in it, a frame and four tires and we were on our way home. Lol It wasn't until we got home that we actually sat down and really looked at this bike. I would guess if we were buying it for the use of the cylinder we might have paid more attention, the cases/clutch/crank were all we were worried about at the time. Again, just trusted what it was said to be unfortunately.
  12. Not being a smart a$$, just trying to be extra informative here. It seems there might be a little confusion on this Cheetah cylinder compared to a DM. It was stated on another site the only difference were in the bolt pattern. If the only difference were the bolt pattern it would definitely be alot easier of an issue to deal with, I definitely agree with that. Unfortunately there are differences literally everywhere. The DM has a single case stud between the intakes, whereas a Cheetah has two case studs between the intakes. The Cheetah uses a Honda 250 style reed, the DM uses a CR500 style reed. Intake, transfers as well as exhaust are also drastically larger on the DM casting. Of the three just mentioned the only thing this Cheetah shares with the DM is the exhaust flange sizing. I will post pics of the two cylinders next to each other, the non polished cylinder is the exact Cheetah cylinder received with this triple. The polished cylinder is a DM. I will also include a comparison of the base gaskets of the DM compared to the Cheetah. Both of these gaskets are uncut, matched just as the cylinders are cast from CP. The Cheetah gasket shown in the picture is the exact gasket that was pulled from the triple in question. I'm not trying to call anyone out, nor make anyone look bad. I'm also not saying this Cheetah wouldn't run, I'm sure it will, just not quite up to par with the DM. I purchased this bike for the lower end, not the upper end. The upper end and frame were being sold to help offset the price paid. A Cheetah upper end is not worth near what a DM would be worth, not to mention I had a guy already interested in the upper end but he has cases already cut for a DM. These cylinders would not work on cases cut for a DM in any way. I could easily buy new, but was hoping to save a few dollars on this build on the lower end parts.
  13. Wow you guys have been a great help. Right now Dave is supposed to send $ to fix the crank end and main shaft on the tranny today. That still leaves the main issues which is the lack of 11 plate clutch as well as lack of DM. Dave is apparently going back to the original seller for possible compensation. That was yesterday, so I am hoping to hear something definite by tomorrow sometime. I really do appreciate all the help from everyone, thank you again!
  14. Man I couldn't have worded this better myself! As crazy as it is, in all of the drag bikes we have done, I have never had one issue with JJ&A so I am unaware of what they will do here on the axle...hence the fact that axle is in everyone of our bikes. I have to believe the crack may not be covered though beings it was caused by the hub being left loose, or loosening up due to no loctite. I will call them tomorrow and figure that out. I think Dave has chilled out a bit, and is hopefully going to do exactly what you have written here. That is dead on as to what should happen. I would be happy either way, whether he work out something with the original owner, or take this bike back. I will keep everyone informed on what the outcome is.
  15. Dave, Do not get this twisted. This does not resolve the issue, only the issues with the motor that have to be fixed. This does not answer lack of DM nor the 11 plate set-up. As I said I am not going to be happy until this is either back at your house or there is a triple DM here...
  16. If I would have gotten this motor off of Justin, and had this issue he would take it back no questions asked...I guarantee it. First of all the only way I would be happy is with the bikes back. You are offering $200 and an HS hood. I never asked for an HS hood, and I don't pay near $400 for them either. Secondly you are going off of Justins post that it would be $600 to fix the issues, but you are looking at more like $775. Main shaft on the transmission $400, crank end $375. That still doesn't address that this is not a DM, nor the 11 plate clutch set-up which is $1250. So to get things started you are saying you are going to send the $775 then?
  17. Dave, You sold a motor as a DM that is not a DM. It is a 78mm bore Cheetah...smaller intakes, smaller exhaust, smaller transfers. So if I bought a cub, sleeved it and had it bored to a 78mm bore I could sell it as a DM as well?? Don't think so. It is not anything me and the original seller should hash out, this sale was between me and you. Main shaft on the transmission $400, crank end $375, 11 plate clutch set-up $1250. What form of addition adds this up to $600 again?
  18. I see you lurking around all of these sites but not posting, so why don't you fill me in on exactly why you won't just back out of this deal since the bike was not as advertised? That is the main problem here, the other issues are just icing on the cake. The bike isn't as advertised, I have offered to put this bike back together (in better condition than it came to me) and would even drive AT LEAST half way back...heck I'm so ready I might drive to your house. What is there to stop you from trading back then? You could then put this bike back up for sale and get the 15k you said you could easily get out of it. Easy...it's just that easy. Give me the word...
