  1. I just let her go... three and a half years of fun, laughter, and tears. I am really emotionally upset!... Who Thought that you could get emotionally attatched to a machine! Well i let her go to a good guy for a good price (on his part). I mean, for real... i have had really good times on that banshee (gf involved). I was known b/c of the shee. "there's Cole on his Banshee" i got the nick name "sheeboy" in my hometown, cuz i used to rider to school, to hang out... Here's the bad part though.... i bought a four stroke a few days ago too... it's still in pieces(416ex). I think i'm gonna get it together sell it and go get another banshee. What do yall say? Shee sold for 1600 and the guy drove 530 miles to get it! I think i was too cheap! :baseball_wibble:

  2. i just took 38 thousanths off of mine and now HAVE to run at least 93 or higher in her.But the pick up on power is CRAZY! :bolt: i just added reed spacers and a boost bottle too though. it'll stand up in 4 gear with no problems now! oh and i had to sand a lil off the squish just in case the piston was a little too close. You want some where between 25-35 thousanths from the squish, or combustion chamber on the head, and top of the piston.

  3. I juss took 40 off the stock head, boost bottle, and reed spacers. (MADE A HUGE DIFFERENCE) and i want to ensure my engine life. The plugs were always black. Now the right one is dark dark brown and the left is a good bit lighter brown. Could this have leaned out my bike. Do i need to rejet?

  4. This adjustment cost me 2 motors banghead , because the left screw wiggled loose from vibration and prevented raw fuel from reachin the bottom end. Any way i was wondering what yall recomend (in general) these screws to be set at. Oh and i shaved my head, got reed spacers, and a boost bottle on top of .60 over, clamp ons, and DG pipes. Do i need to rejet? What size jets do yall run (in general) ???

  5. On my third crank after completely rebuilding 3 months earlier :shootself: , that time it destroyed my whole left side. This time there are just a 2 very small scartches on the left side from bearings from the crank. One is larger than the other, they are more or less visible but i can just barely feel them. Do i have to rebore or can i just re hone and replace the left piston and put in a new set of rings? I'm broke, and can't handle another failure.....

  6. I've had my 98 shee for about 9 months. On the first crank the bearings on the bottom came apart and destroyed everything on the left side... bored .50 over and rebuilt. 3 months later... i'm hauling down an old road then ... BAM... and it died. SAME THING.... on the left side too on the bottom. What is wrong. I can't afford this anymore.... My 3 rd crank just arrived. Maybe third time is the charm.

  7. My Shee flew apart on the left side  , now i bored .50 over, new crank, wiesco piston kit, rejeted from 240 to 280. REplaced the old reeds. I've tried everything to get the old "SNAP" back$$. She used to raise up in fourth, now i have to pull back to get 2nd!!!! I have dg pipes and thats it. I was told to clean up my ports after boring, and i did, i didn't remove much material at all. Just enough so that the rings wouldn't catch.

Now it bogs out on top end and just doesn't pull like it used to. It was bored .20 over w/ wiesco pistons. I went .30 over that. PLEASE HELP I wanna smoke some ass again!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so sad.......

  8. Just rebuilt her from the crank up and i'm just putting around now :P . I've ran a tank through. I gunned her hard once for abut 5 sec. Wow it's pretty quick. ANy specific do's or don'ts? HOw long?? <_<

I want to drive the hell of it but i'm scared that i'll mess somthin up right now. It's really hard to have self control.

  9. This is concerning the condition of my crank from where the left lower con rod bearing flew apart  . I'm pretty good at doing my own stuff. I've been told to let the pro's handle spliting the case, b/c of springs and gears goin all over the place.

So... any tips. MY plan is to remove the side covers and just pull all of the bolts and split her' open. I'm sure there's more to it, but i've never done it before. So here i am. banghead

  10. It just stopped running the other day and i tried to kick it over a few hours later and i could stand on the kick starter before it turned over... i pulled her apart and saw that the left side has scares all over the head and on top of the piston banghead , & the con rod is stuck on the crank (left side)... its not welded on there but it's pretty stiff.

Should i Just start over or can i slavage my crank and just get a new top end and a new left rod? :yank:

I"M BROKE!!!!!!!!! i've had this bike 3 months and i've already put 355$ into a broken cluth rod.

  11. I've never worked on bikes before  , so i got the balls to take her apart. Learned all about wet clutches... but i can't figure out why there is nothing at my clutch lever  . As far as the clutch itself, it's all ok... brand new actually.

It's just the connection from the cable (holder on the block) to everything on the clutch on the right side isn't connected some how??? Broken clutch rod?? don't know what it looks like??? just damn.... banghead wtf. I've had this thing 2 weeks... :shootself:

  12. I bought my budds ol' shee. He put a new clutch in it about 4 months ago. I got the bike a week ago :D . THe clutch itself grips and holds GREAT and hard. But it all of a sudden it has nothing at my lever??? banghead the cable isn't f-ed up, it's moving the lil spring type deal down on the motor, but it's like i'm never pulling in the clutch when i do?

PLEASE HELP!!!! need to take to track for the first time!!!
