  1. Where should the extra support be added. I asked about that a while ago and I got some bullsh*t response with no real answer. Maybe you could elaborate on where to add support so I can make changes before I get too much further.
  2. I’m think I’m going to use the stock swing arm for now and see what kind of problems I have. This is just a build for groomed trails, ditches and backroads. But I might get bored enough to upgrade it later!
  3. Plus 2 steering stem with anti-vibe riser clamp, and OMI stem block.
  4. Got most of it back from powder coat.
  5. Does anyone know what year(s) yamaha used a black front brake master instead of the silver?
  6. Besides the subframe where else might it need chromoly. In addition to grinding off unnecessary tabs is gusseting worth doing? I know I will be reinforcing the steering stop anywhere else? Again this is just a trail build, not a drag or dune runner, it won’t get beat on too much but I want it to be durable.
  7. So I accidentally started this project today. It was supposed to be my winter project but the clutch ball welded on me last night sooo... why not start early. I’m going to take it to get powder coated soon and want to make sure there is nothing else I need to do with the frame before hand (i.e. reinforce certain areas or remove unnecessary tabs or anything). This is a trail build (hare scramble) so I won’t be doing drags or MX with it. I think I’m going to keep the standard a-arms to keep it narrow enough for trails unless someone can convince me otherwise. Probably a 4 mil stroker with some sort of trail/play port, is like to keep it on pump gas. Let me know your ideas. This is not a budget build but I don’t want the cost to get outrageous.
