98golded Posted August 19, 2008 Report Posted August 19, 2008 Sounds to me like you might have a shift fork bent, I'm not sure what forks work what gears, but I'm pretty sure the left rear fork works your 3 to 4 gears, and maybe even your 4 to 5 gears. Quote

locogato11283 Posted August 19, 2008 Report Posted August 19, 2008 where are the shift forks, do the cases need to be split to change the forks? yes they have to be split. so it wont shift at all? or do you have to let all the way off the gas first? Quote

locogato11283 Posted August 19, 2008 Report Posted August 19, 2008 maybe you need to pull your clutch cover and check this thing... its the adjuster for your shift shaft. it could be adjusted wrong. by the sounds of it, easy downshifting but problems upshifting.. the other thing is that maybe you have more power than you think and its just hard to shift up like 4mm and big motors. heres that adjuster. i think you should check it before tearing the cases apart. KEVSWS6 Posted October 6, 2008 Report Posted October 6, 2008 I would like to say that with everything new and adjusted right this is what a Banshee does. When putting out 60 or more HP with HD springs installed it will not shift at WOT. I get calls and email on this all day long. You have to run stock springs or HD springs and: Cut shift star and or Shift shaft mod (FAST) or override trans If you run my port job this is what you will have to do. Sometimes you can get away with half HD springs and half stock springs and it will shift under load. Not all people have this problem. If you don't shift under load at WOT and don't have 60 or more HP it wont be a problem. Quote
