just put on the 30 mm carbs, seems like the jetting is fine but after 4th gear it seems like i'm running out of fuel. it seems like the bowls are running dry. Has anyone heard of making the inlet tubes bigger?

I had to use a reducer at the T for the smaller fuel line, would this give me problems?

any advice would be appreciated.

Try taking the reducer out and see what happens you shouldnt need one for those carbs, but you can try getting a pingle. That way you have dual outlets so you can just run to both carbs and not have to worry about a T.

what's a pingle, dual petcocks or something ? I did find a T with the same sizes out as in and i then used the correct fuel line size to the carbs and clamped the hell outa it. It seems a little better but the bowls are still running dry by 6th gear. Up till then it runs like a scalded dog.

Here you go. You run 2 seperate lines. One for each carb. You do loose the reserve. You still have the same amount of fuel in your tank you just have to mangage it better.

Pingel is nice but you don't need them for those carbs. The problem is the fuel inlet holes on the fuel inlet needle( the one that connects to your float). The holes that let the fuel into the bowl when the needle drops down are to small. I forget the size of drill bite i used, but take a bite and find what size fits in it then go up two sizes and open up the holes. This will allow more fuel into your bowkls and they will not run dry.

I had the same probelm. Great carbs, sold mine to another guy because they were to small for my 4mil and i went up to 35's and a pingel.

You can get a pingel, they are nice, but it will not solve the problem.

Make sure when you open up the holes, that you look inside the tube where the needle slides and make sure it is smooth and has no burs to hang the neddle up

ok, gonna try it. never thought this would be such a pain in the ass. I had no clue why it was falling on it's face by 5th gear. Thought had the main way off at first. Well thanks i'll give an update.
