TeamRealtreeHD Posted August 5, 2008 Report Posted August 5, 2008 I have had a few frames, swingarms, etc. powdercoated over the years. But I still have some questions... What about a-arms? Many said before the ball bearings can't come out, and powdercoating them is a risk. I never did them... But my stock a-arms are getting ugly, well they were the day I bought the thing. But just wondering what you guys do. Soray paint them to match the frame? Touch them up with oem paint? What's my options? I will be doing tis over the winter... Quote
lilmegill727 Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 (edited) buy some 2+1's  Edited August 6, 2008 by lilmegill727 Quote
boneyardbanshee. Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 well i have a stone finish on mine(paint not pc) so when the paint started to strip off them I used some brush-on bed liner to redo them. Quote
ban99 Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 (edited) chromed mine. The chroming tank is only about 98 degrees so it doesn't hurt the ball joints. Edited August 6, 2008 by ban99 Quote

That would be like chrome. HaHa. Quote

I'll have to ask the podercoating place if they chrome... If not, maybe someone on here does it? Quote

ny98banshee350 Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 i cant remember who did it but some 1 on here made a pcin oven and did all his own stuff he said he did his stock a arms and had no problems! Quote
TeamRealtreeHD Posted August 6, 2008 Author Report Posted August 6, 2008 I'd really like to powdercoat them, but I won't since the risk involved. But I didn't even think about schroming them... that's good stuff. Either one will work, if I can find someone that can either chrome them or powdercoat them, I'll do it, as long as they won't have bad joints Quote
