shogs Posted August 5, 2008 Report Posted August 5, 2008 I have two kinds of spray paint that are both supposed to be made for plastic. I recently cut the front fenders on my shee as well. I was wondering if since the fenders are blue if I just spray painted the front fender black if that would look nice. Not the rear or the grill just the fender. Let me know if id be screwing myself over. And also if anyone else has spray painted fenders let me know if you have any advice. Thanks Quote
xXBlessedWithDeathXx Posted August 5, 2008 Report Posted August 5, 2008 I sprayed a KX that i had with this Fusion shit and it was shit. it says you dont need to scuff the plastic for it to stick but i did and i ended up chipping it off with my finger nail and keys to get it back to green. my keys touched the side plastics and messed it up good. so i picked at it and it came off to easy. branches would have helped getting it off easier but i said the hell with it and picked it off. i say dont do it but thats my opinion. i even called the number on the can and they said they had no recall on them numbers so it was good paint Quote
shogs Posted August 6, 2008 Author Report Posted August 6, 2008 Thanks for your input. I dont think im gonna end up painting it...if anything ill buy one front fender and try on my old ones to see what it looks like. Ill let ya guys know if i ever do Quote
STREETSWEEPAZ Posted August 11, 2008 Report Posted August 11, 2008 You have to scuff it witha red scotch brite pad , Clean with mineral spirits or paint prep , &then ise Bulldog Adhesion promoter & FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS ON THE CAN !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Light & Misty coats are better than 1 thick one because a thick coat wont dry & it will be gummy............ PAINT AWAY !!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
