I need some help with my 01 shee, it has

 

Cool head 20cc domes

reed spacer

fmf pipes/silencers

stock jetting 280's

 

I am in the military stationed in Germany and I bought a blown up 01 from a guy, my brother-in-law rebuilt it for me and I got home 3 weeks ago and rode it for about an hour before it blew up, apon taking it apart and making some phone calls I was supposed to be running race fuel, so while it was apart I also took apart the carbs to clean them out, now that it is rebuilt and running, halfassly, what is happening is it will start on the first kick, and will idle all day long, but when you give it gas it will not build RPM's it sounds like it is sucking for air, so I removed the air filter and tried that but it still sounds the same, I am lost on what to do next, Did I put something together wrong? start with a compression test, if psi is over 150 run race fuel.

 

make sure your getting plenty of fuel, might pull the tank off and clean all filters making sure all hoses are free of obstructions.

 

clean carbs and verify main jets are 280's, and check pilot jets they should probably be 25's

 

ditch the reed spacers you dont need them on a stock bike,

Thanks for all the help everyone, but after all of that, the god darn parking break was on, and somehow it is connected to the CDI,
