I just purchased some marvin shaws competition fronts and hillshooter rear. Now im new to these so I dont know much. But how stiff are these b%$ches supposed to be? And how does everyone that runs them like them.? Any info would be great

I'm with ya on that one, they do appear to be a tad on the stiff side, but they work great

dude i weight 220 and when I sit on them they dont move. My girls 450 is stiff and when i sit on it, it compresses a little not on the marvins. The rear is the one thats really stiff. Is there a break in period. Do i need to jump on these things like a trampoline to break them in.

Its gonna be a ruff ride! You'll have to adjust pressure to get the ride you want.

The owner of Marvin Shaw told me they would be stiff until broken in. I never used those, so they're essentially un-used.

 

Give the guys at Marvin Shaw an email or call. They were awesome to talk with, and deal with when I bought those.

Yeah mine were the same way but i'm about to order that refill kit since i have easy access to a nitrogen tank at work that way i can adjust them the way i want. My fronts are stiff as hell but the rear needs alot more pressure in them i'm scared when i take off it's gonna compress to much and drag the bottom of my frame and not to mention foot.

Marvin's are good shocks, just adjust them until you find the ride you like.................
