2002 Banshee built from the ground up. Converted to Motion Pro twist throttle so I have installed the idle screw kit.

I have to use ether to get it started even after it warms up. What am I missing here? Sounds like I am not getting fuel.

Probably something to do with your pilot jet. What is your current jetting, style of carbs, mods, and temp/elevation?

Stock carbs, FMF pipes and SST used jets from that came with the pipe kit. Temp is 90 degrees and elevation in Richardson Texas I do not know.

We know how difficult jetting can be sometimes, that's why when we test our exhausts we also adjust the jetting to see what works best. Sometimes stock jetting works fine, other times a slight adjustment is needed. Here is what we've come up for in our area and is a great starting point for you as well. There are way too many variables in jetting to give you a recommendation that works perfect. Use these specs for a reference to help aid you with your specific bike. We developed these specs with a 32:1 fuel to oil mixing ratio of a 50/50 mix of race fuel and super unleaded, 0 - 1500 ft altitude at 70 degrees outside temperature.

Your choice: YAMAHA --> 2002 --> BANSHEE

I thought that was a damn good explanation on their part....honestly.

How did you adjust the idle screws you just installed? Did you completely unplug ALL Tors wiring and hardware?

We adjusted those back and forth it did not make a difference in starting. It will not start on its own. TORS never existed and not plugged in.

Also, check the basics: float bowl level, make sure the carbs are clean, make sure your petcock is flowing fuel, etc.

Idle screws move the slides up and down. The carbs are brand new but will check the jetting.
