robert.b.west Posted May 23, 2008 Report Posted May 23, 2008 I have an 2001 banshee that has never had a top end and I was wondering what "wears out" assuming that the jetting is perfect. I ask because I was planning on getting it ported and I figured that if I already have it apart and it is either the rings or rings and piston I could just replace it then. Or would It just be better to get it ported and just wait till it needs to be rebuilt? Quote
locogato11283 Posted May 23, 2008 Report Posted May 23, 2008 being a 2001 its prolly time to freshen it up. ask your builder, he should be able to tell you. Quote

I know it is older I also know that it was not drove for like 2-3 years (before I got it) it also has great compression 155-160 on 20cc domes. I was just wondering what you guys thought. Quote
gregrob Posted May 23, 2008 Report Posted May 23, 2008 Compression is the story teller. That's a lot for even a new bore on 20cc domes... You running race gas? If the compression is really that good I wouldn't touch it. JMO Quote
robert.b.west Posted May 23, 2008 Author Report Posted May 23, 2008 I run 50/50 and it runs great. Quote
