rust on my t6s

i noticed i got rust on the back of my toomeys on both sides, :: wondering where i could send theme off to get redipped? And about how much $$ we talkin bout. Dont know if i'll take that route yet , but it doesnt look like i could clean em up myself. thanks

i heard you couldnt get them re chromed because the oils and carbon on the inside will ruin all the chroming agents and crap..

not true. Alot of places will not re-chrome used pipes becasue it will contaminate thier tanks, but this doesnt mean they cant be redone.

 

Send bk_banshee a pm on here, he did alot of chrome work for me and his shit is top notch! prices are not cheap but its not cheap chrome by any means

Thats what I heard too, about the contaminating of the tanks. For T-6's I'd go with E-bay or Craig's list and get a real set of pipes.............j/K man

Is it surface rust, or is the chrome finish pitted? Buy some fine steel wool #000, spray the rust with some kind of penetrating oil, and gently scrub the rust off. You will be surprised how well they may look if the chrome is not too bad.
