Eventually I am going to do a frame up restoration of my Banshee and new plastics will go on her when I do that. I was looking on e-bay for fenders and ran acros the Maier fenders that look kind of like a Raptor. They are the race cut front end. What do you guys think of the looks of the Raptor style race cut front end on the Banshee? I saw a picture of one with the full front fenders and it just did not look right to me.

Or should I just stick with something that looks a little more like the traditional Banshee?

Anybody got any pictures of the Raptor stlye plastics on the Banshee and could post them, that would be great.

Thanks for the opinions guys.

I bought a Banshee about a year ago because I'm an old school fan of 2 strokes. It was in pretty good condition but the plastic on it was faded out and cracked. I did the same thing as you did and started shopping. I like the original Banshee look but took a chance and tried the new look. Now when I unload at the local track, I'm not just riding "another one of those Banshee's" as I have heard from people. Actually it draws curiosity and people want to know what it is and I'm happy to show them in second and third gear. It's what is under the skin that makes a Banshee what it is. I might decide to order the traditional front plastic later on when I get tired of it, but it will still be the same machine with or without it. It's all up to what you like, thought I would be the one to post a pic. of the new racing plastic that everyone hates. Hope this helps ya man, oh by the way this is not the most recent pic., I have done a lot more work since this was taken.

I'll be honest. To me, there's only one place where Raptor plastics belong, and that's on a Raptor.

The Banshee's shaped too differently from the Raptor to look good like that. The mile-high fenders and the huge gap where the radiator shroud usually is just don't look right at all to me.

Your mileage may vary, however. If you like the look, it's your call.

Word...leave the slow motors and ugly plastics on the Craptors....don't do it.

Get some nice fullbore or laker plastic. Maeir plastic is garbage.

Have JD (87sheerips) laser cut you a nice new grille, his are works of art.

Its a mandatory 1 year jail sentence if those plastics go on a banshee
