xXBlessedWithDeathXx Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 Are you able to get the front spring off the shock without damaging them? i heard a few times that the top eye of the shock screws off but i didnt believe it. any one that actually did this chime in please and let me know if its possible. Iv seen them pcd but I dont know how they got them apart, I didnt think they would come apart without damage. Quote
tidos76 Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 yes the do come apart. it's best to use a spring compressor. i got them apart by hand but it was a pain in the ass. once you get them compressed the top side has a notch in it. pull it off hte shaft and the spring will come off Quote
tidos76 Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 i forgot to mention the ends screw off. just make sure you tighten them on good and set the other screw think tight with them. and use red loctight. after i got mine together i didn't tighten them enough. i went about 200' wot and my sprink went BOING! luckily i didn't go end over end. i'll never make that mistake again Quote
