Cascade has two fuel filters, a large one and a small one. I know this is nit picking, but I don't know which one to get even though it probably doesn't matter. The reason I want one is because after my motor blew, I cleaned my carbs and found the right side main to be clogged to hell. Any of you guys run a fuel filter?

pointless IMO

all you need to do is make sure your gas can is always clean and make sure your tank is always clean and thats free

besides you could pick p a filter at a hardware store for a buck if you reall want one

dirt gets in easier at other places (air filter, any clamps for the carbs etc)

i use a filter, very wise for the money, just think about it, how did that piece of dirt get down in your bowl and stop up your main jet?? theres only 1 way, it came into the carb with the fuel, if you have a loose air filter the dirt basically goes into the motor, not down inside of the carb, i little piece of dirt can cause a hell of a meltdown.. 2.50 is a good insurance premium i think.

your going to tell me that everytime you put gas in your tank you make sure your can is clean of everything, and then you get a flashlight out and look into your tank to make sure thats clean also, i dont belive it. for $2.50 its worth it to me to not worrie about it but if you want to go for it.

Good question I used to have that happen when I used a filter :ermm: I don't run one anymore...

Also, the fuel tank has a screen filter in it already, but not as good as those plastic ones. I tried one of those huge ass paper ones too, but it would not flow enough and leaned out my bike.

That is more or less what I'm concerned about. I really want to run a filter, but want to be sure it is going to flow enough fuel. The small filter that Cascade-Innovations sells has some sort of gold porous metal looking filter in it, and the larger version looks like it has a very fine conical screen inside.

They are both cheap, just don't know which one to buy.

I run the bottom big one, it's what The Banshee Shack in AZ recommends, I used to not run one but after clogging a pilot with some dirt, I figure it's cheap insurance to not harm the motor or the 20 kickstart shuffle, plus The Banshee Shack told me that every time they drain a tank, they always find dirt and sand in the bottom of most tanks.
