theshee Posted December 13, 2007 Report Posted December 13, 2007 I am thinking about powder coating all the stuff i was going to chrome. I want to do my stock a-arms, but the rubber deals will melt. I can get ew rubber dust covers from cascade, so if i just take the dust cover off, mask off the ball joint, have them powdered coated, and replaced the rubber dust cover with new ones everything would be fine right? Is that rubber dust cover the only probelm with coating stock a-arms? Quote
bigboybanshee Posted December 13, 2007 Report Posted December 13, 2007 From what I understand, there is a nylon bushing or plastic bushing in there that melts. I have always been told that if you want to PC stock a-arms, then it would have to be cured by infrared lamps....just cannot put it in the oven. Quote
