casper Posted December 2, 2007 Report Posted December 2, 2007 I just got a set of the Ricky Stator 100w duner lights for my shee, I have the 200w stator and timing plate installed but the lights are dim. Any thoughts? :: Thanks, Quote
Snopczynski Posted December 2, 2007 Report Posted December 2, 2007 Those bulbs are too bright for that setup. Max wattage to light up from that rs 200w stator can run is about 125w. Also, I would recommend an rs voltage regulator. Only other thing it could be is a bad stock voltage regulator. You can unplug it and not rev it past 6k rpm. If the bulbs are brighter, its a bad regulator. I am betting on too much watts though. I had a 150w when I first installed mine and had to downgrade the bulbs to 125w. The only time it was bright with 150w bulbs in it was at full rpm. Quote
casper Posted December 2, 2007 Author Report Posted December 2, 2007 Thanks for the reply, so I should try 125w bulbs? I had 2 50w and 2 35w lights and they worked great togeather but I was hoping these 100w would work, can't see to well at night. Quote
Snopczynski Posted December 2, 2007 Report Posted December 2, 2007 You should make sure the voltage regulator is ok, and dont run more than 125 watts total. Quote
