Shouldn't need a press or anything, you might want to check that it is the right size.

If you have an o-ringed chain, you may need to preload them a bit to assemble the master link. If you have a DID chain, I have found many of their master link clips to be out of tolerance, which makes it a bitch to assemble....................I remember this right about the time I shoot the clip across my garage or stab myself with pliers. :biggrin:

i cant get the plate on the two bars.. i bent them in a little so it fits but it wont snap on all the way.. what do you use to get it on there? any techniques.. somthing im missin?

 

Is it a new masterlink or the one that came off of it, May have gotten an non oring masterlink.
