Hahaha, normally I would, but the new carrier I got is twin row, and they don't seem to budge...

Anyone??

Try a little heat on the outside of the carrier then tap on it. If you don't want to flame the carrier, you could try a heat gun.

For those bearing, they are big enough to get a piece of flat bar behind it, then you can whack the flat bar from the other side and the bearing should pop right out. :geek:

Cool sounds good. I did them once with a set of punches that I had, but it was a bitch and half since there are 2 bearings on either side, it was twice as hard as doing a stocker. I'll try the flat bar next time, if anyone knows where I can get one of those bearing punches/pullers though, I'd sure appreciate it, because the ones I have now for the front hubs work like a breeze.

Snap On and MAC both have a reasonable set of ID bearing and seal pullers.

Before I invested into my tools, I used to use a slide hammer to pull them out. Its basically a Dent puller for body working, but you attach different size washers depending on the size of the bearing. It actually works very well. You can pick one up cheap at most auto parts stores or really cheap at Harbor Freight. Now I use a air hammer with a long reach head.......as long as I do not plan on reusing the bearing......lol
