rear shock

I was going to replace the rear shock on my 96 banshee with another stock one from ebay. Can anyone tell me if the rear shocks were valved differently throughout the different years on the banshee?

i forget which ones are longer, but there is a 1 inch length difference between the j arm and a arm bikes.i have a blown one you could send away to works or tcs ect. no downtime for your bike.20 shipped.
