With 14-41 gearing, it seemed just about right. Quote
Wallrat Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 (edited) How much dragging vs. how much duning? For mostly duning, I'd go with a +2 or maybe a +4. Most people say that a +4 is as big as you wanna get for a duner. For paddles, how damp is the sand there? If it's usually high on moisture, go with a 8 paddle, for dryer conditions, 9 might be better. Odaen - there's no reason to run 10 paddle extremes on any shee that isn't set up for full drag (Cub, alky, +8 (or more) swinger, etc.) Edited September 5, 2007 by Wallrat Quote

Ducman Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 I had the same setup a couple of years back and ran a +4 with 21x11x8 10 paddle extremes. With 14-41 gearing, it seemed just about right. That's a really good setup for a dune port +4mm stroker. I had the same setup except 9 paddles. Now with the 421 cub the 9 paddles spin too much when launching in a drag race but are still fun for a dune play setup. Quote
