Pats Posted August 20, 2007 Report Posted August 20, 2007 Hey guys, this forum seems to have quite alot of you that knows alot about these 2 bikes. Well here's the deal, im willing to buy a banshee since about 2 years, to do some in my field behind my friends house, to do some dunes also and some tracks. But the question is, would a banshee satisfy my needs better than a yfz? Thanks in advance Quote

But the question is, would a banshee satisfy my needs better than a yfz? Thanks in advance Banshees are their own beast, if you want to put around all day on one tank of gas its not your bike... If you want your arms pulling out of the sockets when teh powerband hits, its your bike. To tell you the truth i would love to have both, i have a banshee that i would never trade for a yfz but i want a yfz now too. At the dunes, the banshee shines and thats exactly what i do.. Snopczynski Posted August 20, 2007 Report Posted August 20, 2007 The Banshee is a YFZ. I love being a smart ass. Quote
yfzdunejumper Posted August 20, 2007 Report Posted August 20, 2007 Come on your getting on a banshee site asking this question you should also ask it over at yfzcentral. It Quote
dajogejr Posted August 20, 2007 Report Posted August 20, 2007 By track I garner you mean MX style track. Get the YFZ. If you mean drag strip style track...and dunes, then banshee. Behind a buddy's house (fields, etc) MX track....YFZ suited. Dunes and a Drag strip a shee is the way to go...once you put a few bucks into them. Majority rules, depending on what you mean by "track".... Quote
Bansh-eman Posted August 20, 2007 Report Posted August 20, 2007 i have both, like dave said for mx riding hands down get the 450, for drag hands down banshee Quote
1sreamin350 Posted August 21, 2007 Report Posted August 21, 2007 (edited) If you do buy a banshee, find a decent , used one, for around or less then 2 grand, and rebuild to your taste. That is exaclty what i should have done. Edited August 21, 2007 by 1sreamin350 Quote
Banshee~ Posted August 21, 2007 Report Posted August 21, 2007 i have and love both, but i might add that the banshee is easyier to work on  Quote
RagunCajun Posted August 21, 2007 Report Posted August 21, 2007 To tell you the truth i would love to have both, i have a banshee that i would never trade for a yfz but i want a yfz now too. ditto! If only i had enough room for another quad. I think i would rather get a cheap 400ex to beat on. A hell of a lot slower than a yfz450 but CHEAP! haha  Quote
Pats Posted August 21, 2007 Author Report Posted August 21, 2007 aight, thanks everyone. just a last thing, i went to see a yfz 2007 SE at Yamaha and hes asking 8,700$. I think that's a good price, but he told me that i gotta do a oil change every 3 tanks, is that around 20 bucks? Quote

TurboBanshee420 Posted August 21, 2007 Report Posted August 21, 2007 go buy a new ds450! I rode a demo at the local dealer, WHAO! That bitch is like riding a semi tamed wild animal... I would take that over any other. I like yamaha but can-am has always been the bar setter in every catagory of machine they have ever made. They seem to be the people everyone ends up copying in the end. Quote
Pats Posted August 21, 2007 Author Report Posted August 21, 2007 haha, how much will the 450 be? i heard it was gonna be the best atv this year Quote
TurboBanshee420 Posted August 21, 2007 Report Posted August 21, 2007 Can't be much more than the rest of them. But your definately getting your $$$ worth! Quote
Pats Posted August 21, 2007 Author Report Posted August 21, 2007 Can't be much more than the rest of them. But your definately getting your $$$ worth! since you're here, how much per month it approximatively cost you in gas and oil? or how much does it cost to full it of gas and change the oil. Quote
