WALLACE84 Posted August 4, 2007 Report Posted August 4, 2007 I just put the rockets I bought from peterlocal22 on my friends banshee for shits and giggles because mine still isnt doen yet, and do any of you guys that run rockets have problems with the stock pipe bumpers? the rockets cleared them but no by much and Im thinking that just grinding them off would be a good idea. Oh and anybody who hasent tried this pipes. DO IT. My buddies banshee has pods, tors elim, milled .030 head, timing plate at +4 and thats it. When we put the rockets on, it was a whole new bike. Peppy as hell and they pulled hard. My play banshee is the when they are going on after the porting and I dont think its going to be a play banshee after that Quote
locogato11283 Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 i cut those pipe mounts off a long time ago. they are worthless. yea, the rockets are good pipes. they are very underrated... Quote

WALLACE84 Posted August 5, 2007 Author Report Posted August 5, 2007 Well I know they are worthless but I just didnt want to cut them off unless I had to because of it being bare metal. Im building my 421 still and I cut the tabs off that frame a long time ago too but I dont feel like ripping my play bike down to the frame for PC. And yea, people definatly underrate rockets Quote
RZBansheeMan Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 I'm extremely anxious to get my cylinders and crank back from Jim and try out my Rockets also. Quote

klotz_racr Posted August 6, 2007 Report Posted August 6, 2007 (edited) Hey guys, im new to this so please dont get pissed to stupid newbie ?'s. I have the same mods as wallaces buddy, but my head is milled 20 thousandths. Im deciding between the rockets, or the shearer production pipes ( the ones on passion). Im leaning toward the rockets though. But which ones are louder? thanks alot tyler Edited August 6, 2007 by klotz_racr Quote
dajogejr Posted August 6, 2007 Report Posted August 6, 2007 Without a ported motor you are wasting your time. I had the same mods too, minus the shaved head...and the rockets sucked for the motor. My T5s were 10X better pipes. Get a drag pipe when you get a drag motor...or a dune pipe when you get dune ported motor. And when it's all said and done, CPI or Shearer will be a better choice. CPI for duning, Shearer for more drag racing.... Quote
